Tahimik.

I wonder why I'm still stuck here with my papers when I could actually see the whole damn city from here, overlooking all the best cuisine, clubs, theaters, yet me and my single ass is stuck here.

I feel left behind!

But shit—I can't settle yet.

Don't get me wrong, Love is magical—according to my mother of course since I've never fallen in love, which I want to, but I just couldn't find someone and can't settle while I have this business to run all by myself, I don't have time for that, I've been so busy that I forgot to get myself a life, if you think this is life, my life, then it's not.

Sabi ng iba, gusto nila 'yung ganitong buhay, they thought my life is full of pasarap because I'm mayaman, fucking hell no.

Happiness can't be bought, not unless I'm super materialistic, which I'm not, sakto lang. Heck, I just wish I lived my teenage years to the fullest and not mopping my ass off my acads, not to mention I'm home schooled since fucking nursery—grew up spoiled by my grandma and pop's and parents.

Yeah I mean it's cool, fishing latin honors without a sweat.

Without a sweat pero bobo sa labas ng bahay—damn, the fear, I felt like new born baby when I started my internship few years back.

I let out a heavy sigh.

Why am I thinking about these again? Oh kasi tahimik.

Under my lashes, an unexpected woman is walking towards me, agad na umangat ang tingin ko. Then she came with her scent, one whiff and you'll know that scent is addictive, expensive perfume.

"I don't think we have an appointment, Miss," with my monotone I say while shamelessly checking her out. Whoa, she's my type.

"I don't think your secretary updates you, Miss Yvan."

But I just can't believe that my secretary didn't tell me ahead of time na may bisita ako.

"Take a sit." Pasalamat talaga maganda.

"Thank you."

Hinaguran ko muna ulit ito ng tingin, she have small dimples, cute.

Ang laman ng folder ay resume niya, I just scanned it for a good three minutes, napakunot ang noo ko, she have CV, interesting.

Her eyes a bit expectant, sorry siya hindi ako tumatanggap ng basta-basta because our business isn't basta-basta lang.

"Patricia recommended you, am I right?"

"Yes, I'm sorry for my sudden arrival."

"What makes you so confident to come all the way here? This position is still open, we have hundreds of applicants and we value fairness."
