she walked down the halls, hiding her face
she could feel them staring, laughing, snickering
'look at what she's wearing' they exclaimed at she walked past
'she is so ugly' she ignored them, well at least that's what it looked like from the outside
but they didn't know the effect every comment, every insult, every snide remark, had on her
they didn't know that every day, she would come home to an empty house and stand in front of the mirror for hours on end, asking over and over, 'why aren't I good enough?'
they didn't know that her life was slowly falling apart, and that they were just speeding along the process
