"There is nothing you will be doing here. Go see your family. The deal will continue when I get back unless you aren't receiving a dime from me."

"You won't dare." She said.

            His lips tugged up slowly. "You can't threaten me, Lola. I'm the mastermind of this deal. And according to the contract we both sign, I pay you when the days are completed."

"And it can be completed even while you are away. I am practically doing nothing for you now." She emphasized each word like she want it to stick in his head.

"You are going to be doing something when I get back. You will be useful in the remaining days left when I return." He said. As much as he doesn't want to use his business-like tone for her, he has to.

             And she glared at him. It won't change anything. He knew she needs the money and she signed the deal because of the money. The other weeks she had done would be for waste if she decides to leave without completing the one week that he will be away.

           He hated to deal with her like he was dealing with a business client but that is the only way to make her submit to his will. Because he won't apologize for what happened the previous day. He thought it will be best for both of them that way.

             Despite deep down, his heart is telling him otherwise.

"I will be leaving in the evening." He said and before she could say anything, his phone rang. He watched her exhale angrily when it rang. He picked up the call.

"Good day Mr...." He greeted and he watched Lola stand up angrily and left.

             Lola sat in the living room tapping on her phone with a small smile on her face. Her friends had left almost three hours ago. And she hadn't seen Demilade since then.

             She was very pissed at him and she wish she won't see him. First, he hurt her feelings and second he threatened her. He knew she need the money and she won't be here if not for the money.

             Although she is still trying to comprehend why he wishes to prolong the deal. He was clearly irritated at her and it is like he want her gone from his life. But with the way things are, she can't say.

            If he wants her to leave so badly, he won't mind letting her stay in his house for the rest of the days the deal will be on. But that is not the case. He wants her to go home and return to continue the deal when he gets back.

             But he said you will have a lot of uses when he gets back. Her subconsciousness reminded her.

             Maybe that is why he wants to prolong the deal. She thought. Nothing else.

           But she won't give in so easily. It seems he is very busy and he had hidden in his private office. But he would come down soon.

           Then Jubril walks into the living room looking around quietly. He smiled when he saw Lola sitting on one of the sofas.

"Lola, how you dey? (How are you?)" He asked with his usual Hausa accent but cheerful voice.

"I'm fine oh. Do you want to see Deborah?" She asked.

"Since you dey here, no need. Someone dey looks for oga. Na one woman. She says she wan see oga and e be like say oga no go work today. I never see him today. (Since you are here, there is no need. Someone is asking for the boss. She is a woman. She says she wants to see the boss and it seems the boss didn't go to work today. I have not seen him today)." He said in pidgin.
