-Author's POV-
Present time 2018
"I didn't really know that, I'm sorry." Carma said to Louis after hearing his whole story. The whole time she kept quiet while listening to him, she could hear Louis' voice break at times but she made no comment about it, instead she just listened quietly.
"We all have scars we don't like to talk about, I guess..." He shrugged.
"Tell me about it." She looked at her feet. Louis sat on the edge of the building, he pulled out another cigarette.
"Want another one?"
"I'm fine, thanks." She sat next to him, "So, what now?"
"With her?" He looked at Carma, "I guess she's fine, besides, the wings seem to fit her perfectly."
"But, will you talk to her eventually?"
"At first I swore I would never talk to her if I ever came across her. But, to be fair, now I'm not so sure."
"Do you think she misses you?"
"I'm sure she once did." He let the smoke out of his lips, "What does Amara know, anyway?"
"She just said it was best I asked you." She shrugged, "I guess she must know of it."
"We are here on a mission, Carma" Louis started, "I don't recommend any of us to start getting attached, a lot of things might go south."
"Yeah..." Carma agreed.
"You never told me how you lost your wings blondie." He tossed his now finished cigarette, "Now that we are being soft here." He laughed.
"Let's just say you are right: love can make things go the other way around."
"You lost your wings for love?"
"I guess you could say that. But it's in the past now."
"Kenan's here." Harry appeared on the roof behind them, making the startle a little. Louis turned his head around to see him and nodded.
"We should head back inside. It's probably something important." Louis turned to Carma, she nodded and they both made their way back in.
"To what do we owe the pleasure?" Louis greeted Kenan.
"It's nice to see you too kiddo." Kenan hugged Louis, "I decided to take a break from Hell."
"So, we're not in trouble?" Zayn asked, greeting Kenan as well.
"I mean..." Kenan laughed, "Nah, you're alright kid. Why don't you go to sleep now, you have school tomorrow if i'm not mistaken."
"Alright, alright dad" Harry mocked.
They all made their ways to their rooms, except for Louis. He knew Kenan's sudden arrival was more than just taking a break from hell.
"Alright, you can cut the crap now," Louis said seriously, "what's really going on?"
"Can't your boss come and see how you guys are doing?"
"No, sir. You don't come to earth for vacation purposes." Louis smiled pointing at him.
"Lou..." Kenan started to talk, "the situation is becoming more complex. You need to be more careful, we can't put more people at risk. Things with Lilith are starting to heat up, everyone in Hell is unsure of what might happen. I have to make sure you guys keep on with the mission, and it's for Hell's and your best interest if you stay longer than expected."
