|11| Why Do You Keep Caring? Just Let Me Waste Away

Start from the beginning

The usual malice wasn't present in the glare, nor was his right eyebrow furrowed, a sign of him being truly angry. No, his eyes kept rising up from the floor to meet his own eyes before darting back down again, as if it were a challenge to call him weak. He only did that when he was worried or scared (yes, even Katsuki gets scared at times). Not to mention the fact that Midoriya was basically homeless, given that he was living in an abandoned building. Shouta was starting to wish he has dragged the conversation from five months ago on a little longer.

"Alright. I'll just check on him. Although there's no guarantee I'm not finding him a proper home." Shouta sighed, exasperated at Bakugou's yell of protest. "He's practically homeless, Bakugou. You can't expect me to just not do anything." Katsuki gave one more irritated huff before heading to his seat, students beginning to trickle inside, chatting happily.

Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero obliviously ran up to Bakugou, joking around and screeching at Bakugou's yells of annoyance. For a second, Katsuki seemed to forget about the conversation from just moments ago, and seemed genuinely happy.

Just for a split second.

Class seemed to whip by faster than the clock could count and go slower than the speed of a hundred year old tortoise divided by ten at the same time. Seven hours sped by so fast Shouta feared he would get whiplash, all the events of the day going in one ear and out the other. At the same time, it dragged on as if he was in the middle of one of Nezu's 'famous' lectures, the need to calm that bubbling anxiety pooling in his gut by making sure his student was alright.

Several students had asked where Izuku was, why he was absent. Some, like Jirou, Yaoyorozu, and Iida thought he was just late, and would be entering the classroom in only a few moments. Others, such as Uraraka, Bakugou, and Aoyama (he was rather dramatic), feared the worst. Uraraka threatened to, and I quote, 'Murder anyone who dared touch her best friend in the most gruesome way possible'. Bakugou, somehow, agreed with her (for the first time ever), and turns out the two are very creative when it comes to thinking up murder plans.

A few examples (these either blew Shouta's mind with their creativity or made him choke on his coffee with the amount of cruelty).
1. Rabid Rats. Kidnap the perpetrator, and tie him up in a pitch black room. Take a crate of rats a week beforehand, starve them (one small block of cheese for for the whole pack), and then set them loose on their victim. The result? The victim is eaten alive by a dozen starved rats infected with rabies. If the rats die or run off before the job is done, the victim is killed by infection and rabies.

2. Poison. Make a very painful poison from rare plant to inject their victim with. Develop a dart for said person. Stalk said person. Find his/her address, wait until they take a shower or bath. Water must be relatively hot. Shoot the dart directly into said person's nerve, right on their neck. The poison will react to the hot water and end up creating a sudden shock that will paralyze the victim. They will fall over and suffer in excruciating pain from the original poison. Plug the drain, let the water overflow. The result? Death by an excruciatingly painful and slow poison, paralysis, and drowning. (The poison will override the nerves, causing the body to go into 'survival mode' and keep the victim alive longer. The result? A slower, longer death.)

3. Meat Grinders. Kidnap victim, tie them up. Note: medical equipment is needed. Chop of the victim's limbs, starting with the fingers, ending with the toes. Leave the arms, legs, and torso alone. For each finger/toe that is cut off, put it in a meat grinder. Make the victim eat the mixture. If it is thrown up, make them eat it again, mixed in with their own stomach bile. Rinse and repeat for all ten fingers and toes. If the victim survives, stab the nerve in their thigh. The result? Death by blood loss, food poisoning, and lethal/fatal injury. (If the need for victim to survive until the piercing of the nerve, use medical equipment. Let the wounds be infected.)
