|5| I Didn't Want To Hurt Anybody

Aizawa frowned. If the kid didn't use a quirk, he'd be a lot harder to find. The criminal also hadn't answered part of the question. "Hey. You didn't answer the whole question. Did you do something to make him attack you, and what happened when he did." Aizawa steadily glared at the man as he shrugged again. "Told him he was on my ground. Said I'd shoot him if he didn't scatter and give me the crap he took. He got real mad at that."

"Did you actually have any intention of shooting the boy?"

The man's face morphed into indignance. "Even I ain't so bad a person to just kill some random kid. Was just tryna scare him off. But he got all pissed and just lunged at me. Was too fast to see half the stuff he was doing, but he just kept hitting me with that bat. Started screaming half way through and crying. Didn't say nothin', he was just plain screaming. Didn't look too experienced with a bat, but he had a strong arm. All that glass in the thing didn't help neither, tearing up my skin and all. Looked like he zoned out after a while and just kept hitting me in the same place. I zonked out, dunno what happened after that."

The detective sighed and jotted everything down in his notebook. "No lies here. Everything checks out with what you said, Eraser. But one final question. What did he take?" The man looked like he was trying to remember. In all honesty, Aizawa just wanted to go home, but he needed to know everything he could about the kid. "He took, like, three bottles of pills and some cash. Was about to leave when I got there."

Naomasa stood up. "Thank you for your cooperation. Some officers will be here shortly. Eraser, if you could help with finding the kid, it'd be appreciated. He might end up a villain if the situation isn't sorted out." Aizawa nodded and stood up, popping his back. He looked at the clock and saw it was nearly five. In the morning. "Yeah, I'll have the time this weekend."

Naomasa nodded and left. Another stretch and an extra glare at the handcuffed man later, and Aizawa left as well. He really didn't want to deal with another problem child right now. Midoriya was bad enough.

Izuku's POV

Midoriya was crouched behind a dumpster, staring at the things he had taken. Rain dripped down his face and dampened his hair when he pulled the hood off. Stolen, actually. His brain remarked on the items. On top of that, you just attacked someone. With a ginormous bat, by the way. They didn't even attack first, but noooo. You're no better than a villain by this point. "I am not a villain! He- he said he was about to shoot me! It was self defense. B- besides, he's a villain too!" Ok, now he was going insane.

Really? Because you could have killed him. You should have just run away, or called the police. "I was breaking the law, and I was supposed to call the police?!" But no, you just almost murdered someone. Some hero you make. Ya know, All Might would be soo proud. Using a quirk made to save others to break the law. "I've fought villains before, though! They were all covered in blood then, so why should I feel so guilty after fighting this one?!" It was true. Midoriya had fought many villains, and while he was always bloodied and bruised in the end, so were his opponents. Then his brain supplied exactly why he was so guilty and shaken up about what he had just done.

Sir Nighteye being stabbed staight through the stomach, and dying in a hospital with Midoriya and Mirio right there.

Mom lying on the floor, her face pale.

Kirishima at the end of the Yakuza raid, being wheeled into an ambulance.

Aizawa sensei fighting the nomu, almost dying right in front of him.
