Harmony & Melody: Mystery of Atlantis

My name is Harmony.

I'm the 2nd daughter of Ariel and Eric, Twin to my sister Melody. I was born with a tail and lived away from my family for most of my life. But now I'm closer than ever with them, and on the discovery of something new.

Harmony's P.O.V

Staring in shock, Melody and I move away from each other.

Melody: What just happened?!
Me: I have absolutely no idea!

We pick up our charms and I notice two little gems I hadn't seen before. I lightly place my fingers on it.

Me: I hadn't noticed these.
Melody: There beautiful......

I twist my charm around my wrist, overlapping the seaweed I kept over my scars.

Me: Perhaps Grandfather can help.

Melody nods and we swim to the throne room.

Melody: Grandfather?

A guard nods to us as we pass.

Triton: Melody, Harmony, is everything alright?
Me: We're not sure.

Melody hands over our charms as I recite the story of how I found them. Grandfather's gaze only deepened.

Triton: There is a legend, about two stones that could grant the power of the land and sea. A powerful enchantress fell in love with a merman and couldn't bare the pain of not being with him. So she created a connection that would allow them to explore both worlds. But all magic comes at a cost children. Once the merman had access to the human world, he met another that stole his heart.
Melody: What happened to the enchantress?
Triton: She became a sea creature. Bent on wreaking havoc to the land of men. Magic turned against her and made her butter and evil.

My heart broke at this story.

Me: And the stones?
Triton: Lost to the Sea. Until now I fear.

Melody and I look at each other.

Me: You....fear?
Triton: Those stones hold deep, and powerful magic. No one knows what they can do or what they could awaken.

*Tentatively walks in hiding behind Noel*

Me: H-Hi! I know it's been forever since I've updated the second book. I also apologize about such a short chapter.

Noel:*ruffles my hair* You've been swamped Love. I'm sure your readers understand. Winter is trying to adjust to being an adult.

Me:*laughs* Noel. Very true, but I promise my snowflakes that I'm going to do better. Now I have to go but I can't wait to continue!!!!
