"... Why is she here again? I thought she left you."

"Well, she is back. That is what matters."

"But you went out with her. She doesn't deserve your time." Bayo said.

"Wait, how do you know all this? Are you monitoring me now?" Demilade asked with a frown.

"Uche told m,e idiot. Who has time to monitor you?"

"Uche!!" Demilade shake his head. He will deal with his secretary later.

"Why do you go out with her? You should have sent her away from your office. How does the bitch even know your company address?" Bayo questioned, exasperated.

"Well, I don't know. Maybe from her friend Sholape. And also, I don't get Bayo. She is my old friend. Our friend. And I am seeing her after a long time. What crime is there if I take her to lunch? It's just a harmless offer."

"Harmless offers from a man whose heart was broken by the same woman. Harmless offer from a man who once loves that same woman. She was your ex-girlfriend and ex-lover. And that same girl left you for a better and rich man."

"Bayo-"

"Don't Bayo me. Recently I asked you how you still feel about Yimika. I know what she did cloud your judgment about other women and it still affects your date."

"Remember I dated Angela after Yimika."

"Angela?" He scoffed. "I never considered that one as someone worthy. I knew she will eventually leave you from the start. And you and I know that you only fell for Angela because she was a good handbag for social events and she was good in bed. Nothing more."

"Bayo." He called. He still wondered how Bayo could read him so easily.

"That's the truth. So I called to let you know that I won't watch my best friend go back to something of the past. Yimika is your past and I would love it if you do not have anything to do with her anymore. She made her decisions and she left you to marry a foreign man. He was older than her and the man was wealthy. Do you know his company went bankrupt and that is why Yimika had to divorce him and come back to the country? I don't trust her for coming back to your life. She had always been one cunning person. And I know she is back just to win your trust and use you. She is just looking for a guy who could take care of her. She left you when you need her the most. She left you broken. And now she is back acting all good like everything is fine when she left. She told you you were hopeless. Why come back when everything is fine with you? "

"She has a child for another man and she will do anything to have a good life. Don't think she still has feelings for you. She stops loving you before she dumps your ass. She is just looking for a place to change her wardrobe and life. If she can't stand with you during your worst days, why come back now during your good time? Think about it Demmy, if you want to bring your ugly past into your future."

"I have no feelings for Yimika," Demilade said with confidence. "She is just a friend and I can't just chase her away. Whatever happens between us is in the past. She doesn't affect me. Remember, I don't do use...."

"Or cheap things." Bayo completed. And they chuckle. "I hope so Demmy. Please stand on your words. I want the best for you. I want you to be able to feel what I am feeling right now. How is Lola?"

       He breathed out. "Let's not talk about Lola."

"You fight again."

"Drop it Bayo."

"You two will look so cute with your constant arguments." He laughed. "So are you still leaving for Tokyo tomorrow?"

"Yes."

"How about the deal?" He asked. "It should be ending next week."

"Bayo, I'm tired and I need to sleep. Stop pestering me. I wonder when you become my mother." Demilade said putting on his nightshirt and pants.

           He listened as Bayo laughed on the phone.

"That's funny Demilade. Whatever you are planning, just let me know. Goodnight."

"Goodnight. Say hello to Helen."

"I will. And my greetings to your girlfriend."

"You're crazy Bayo." He cussed and he heard Bayo laugh before he hung up.

         He sighed and sat on his bed. He needs to talk to Lola. He knew quite well he is the last person she want to see. He had hurt her with his words earlier that day. Even if he is still regretting it, he is not going to mention it. It's better that way.

          No feelings were meant to be attached to the deal. And no matter what kind of feelings is building up inside him, it's best he ignores them. It's not going to help. It will eventually fade away. He thought to himself.

         He decided to see Lola early the next day to tell her about his trip.

          He will be leaving for a week when the deal will actually be over. He hadn't really thought about it. But he had already made up his mind about what he wanted.

     The deal won't end the following week.

What do you have to say to that? The deal is not ending in one week!!! *Shakes head* Let's see the drama that will unfold the next day.
