Chapter 1

Sonic's POV

It was one sunny day when I first met her. Amelia Rose. The most beautiful, and energetic girl I have ever seen in my life. The very first moment I laid my eyes on her my heart was beating like crazy, and my stomach was feeling kind of funny.

I was at the park, playing in the sandbox. I was alone at the time, I had barely moved into the neighborhood so I didn't really knew anybody. After a while of being alone playing, I felt a presence near me. I looked up and..

There she was..

A pink hedgehog was standing in front of me with a warm smile. Her eyes captivated me, those emerald eyes of her. And the warm smile she had.

"Hi!" The pink hedgehog said cheerfully. "I saw you playing all alone here so I came over to see if you wanted to play with me?"

Her voice. It's beautiful.

"Really?" I said, a bit surprised.

"Yea! Come on!" She said cheerfully as she reached down to grab my arm, pulling me up to my feet. "My name is Amelia Rose, but you can call me Amy!" She smiled brightly.

"My name's Sonic" I smiled back at her.

"Well nice to meet you, Sonic! Now, we're friends!" Amy said with a brightly smiled as she pulled me with her.

Ever since that day, we would always meet up at the park and played together everyday. I had so much fun being around her, there wasn't a day that we didn't do anything.

Amy and I were playing around in the playground for awhile before we sat on the swings for a moment.

"Hey, Sonic! Let's play hide and seek!" Amy said cheerfully.

"Ok, rock-paper-scissors?" I said with a grin, sticking my hand out.

Amy stuck her hand out as well. We both got off the swings.

"Rock-paper-scissors-SHOOT!" We said in sync.

I groaned softly when I lost. I saw Amy jumping up and down, proudly. Damn, she's good.

"Haha! I win!" Amy said proudly.

"Awh.. Alright go hide!" I said as I turned around and covered my eyes. I could hear Amy running away from me.

"Are you ready?" I shouted as I kept my eyes covered.

"I'm not ready yet!" Amy shouted back.

"Are you ready?"

"I'm not ready yet!" Amy shouted back. She sounded further away.

"Are you ready?" I shouted a bit louder this time.

"I'm ready!" Amy shouted back from a distance.

"Alright!.." I shouted back with a smile. I took off to look for her.

FLASH BACK ENDS.

"Here I come.." I whispered softly.

I held onto a gold necklace in my hand, looking at it.

I heard a knock at my bedroom door, pulling me out of my thoughts. I placed the gold necklace back inside of desk drawer and looked over at my door.

"Come in." I called out.

The bedroom door opened, revealing a yellow two-tailed fox, Miles Tails Prower.

"Hey, dinner's ready." Tails said with a warm smile.

"I'll be down in a minute" I said. If I'm being honest I'm not really hungry but Tails went out of his way to make dinner tonight even though it was my turn. It's the least I can do.

"Alright, don't take long or the food will get cold." Tails said before leaving my room.

I sighed tiredly as I leaned back on my chair and stared up at my ceiling for a moment.

It's been 10 years since I last saw her.. Last place I saw her was at the park. The only thing I have of her is the necklace I gave her and the memories with her.. I still have the necklace she gave me..

I gently grabbed the necklace that was around my neck.

I never once taken it off since the day she gave it to me.. I've been waiting for her to come back.. to come back to me..
