Lady of The Wondering Woods

I will be here to walk with you every step of the way, if not physically, spiritually, and grant you comfort you in these times of fear and hardship. No, this journey has not been easy. It has been extremely trying at times and learning the lessons along the way has contributed to a lot of character development of my own as well as within you. Believe me, I wasn not expecting a stroll through the park nor was I expecting a trek into such dangerous terrain, but I am trying to keep walking onward with my head held high. Even if you stand by your decision to walk other trails and I have to hike this part alone, I know that it's worth it because It is what you have to do to make this adventure worth it to you and beyond special it will always be to me. The sound of the rattling eight buttoned timber rattlesnake keeps me awake at night for after staring down the face of death earlier today, I do not wish to end up the lonesome soul that wanders these woods looking for their long lost lover. Sitting here, under this oak, I wonder if your even dreaming of me and I drift off to sleep... As day light peaks through the trees, i look up ahead at the rocks that tower in front of me. Reaching the top of such a beautiful scene seems like an impossible task at times, so instead of thinking, I just climb. I climb hoping that each step up this mountain I take draws us closer together, instead of further apart. My hands are bleeding from the scaling the shale at least half a day now and these boots are soaked from walking through the flooded creek leaving my feet cold and sore. Resting a moment on this rock, I look up into the shy and ask myself why I even decided to agree to this adventure. If i knew what it intailed, would i still have hiked all the same trails? Bathed in the sun and kissed by the light, an epiphany struck... I'll keep pressing on from dusk until dawn because no matter where you are, every step I take brings myself one step closer to our intended destination. With or without me there, when you first see it on the horizon, in my heart I know you will be delighted to have begun this adventure side by side. The question remains as to If it will end the same..
