Lily's......dad?!

Lily's pov:

I am so glad that A troupe decided to give me a chance.

Encore was a horrible studio and I was so beyond lonely there, but thankfully, the next step really does have amazing people there, they all gave me a second chance, even Richelle!

"Hey! So.... you guys wanna come over tonight? We can have a girls night, if you want to." I asked hesitantly to the girls of A troupe.

Smiling they agreed.

"Of course!" Amy said, "Sure, why not?" Richelle replied, "We'd love to!" Piper squealed, "This is gonna be fun!" Summer beamed, etc.

I was glad they agreed but deep down, I felt like... I was forgetting something, but I shrugged it off and continued to laugh and drink my tea with the girls, in the next steep.

After the rehearsal, we climbed into my mum's car, as mine was being repaired at the moment. There was 6 of us and my mum had a 7 seater car, so we fitted into it easily.

Summer, who was next to me, switched on the radio and turned the volume up. The song 'Show you how' came on and soon, all of us were screaming the lyrics and jamming in the car.

These girls were a lot more fun than I expected them to be!

I saw a silver car in the driveway, and I pondered to myself who's car that could've been, my gut was screaming at me to turn the heck around and go to a restaurant or something, but I didn't get why, so again, I shrugged it off and turned off the ignition.

Chattering, we all climbed out and walked to my door.

Everyone was just talking and giggling as I pulled out my house keys and opened the door, and I saw my mother sitting at the kitchen counter with a cup of coffee in one hand and a magazine in the other.

I suddenly remembered what I had forgotten - I forgot to ask my mum if I can even invite my friends over!

You might think that it may not be that big of a deal, but if I had asked my mother and she said no, there could only be one reason why... I suddenly realised who that car, in the driveway, belonged to.

My dad.

"Hey mum!" I said, hugging and kissing her on the cheek. "Sorry, I forgot to ask, but I invited the girls from the studio for a sleepover, I hope that's okay." I said.

My mother's face paled a bit, as she glanced into the living room. "Yep, that's fine!", she said as she ushered the girls into the dining room, as they continued to talk and laugh amongst themselves.

My mother grabbed my arm, and gently pulled me back into the kitchen discreetly. "Listen Lily, I'm glad you made friends, you deserve it.... but your father's home early today, and he doesn't have the best history with the Next Step. Remember?" She whispered.

Nodding, I apologised and went to quickly greet my dad. "Hey dad!" I said, as he hugged me. "Hey Lils!" He replied happily. I explained how I was given a second chance at another studio and how I invited over the girls and he smiled happily and patted my shoulder.

Only problem was.... I never told him, what studio I go to now, and I know for a fact he will NOT be happy when he finds out.

But it's okay, all I have to do, is keep him away from my friends.

Easy right? Wrong.

I scurried over to the girls to find them on their phones waiting for me.

"Where've you been, Lily?" Kenzie asked. "Oh I was just talking to my dad!" I said, slightly nervously. "Come to think of it, we've never met your dad." Summer said. "Yeah, can we meet him?", Richelle asked. "Uhhh... umm.. well you see-" I stammered, trying to think a good excuse, before the door slammed open.
