Buffy and Spike

20- It's still Thursday

BUFFY'S POV

'So what's wrong then?' Xander asked noticing my sad face

'It's just, Spike has such a hard time fitting in already with us and the world. I feel awful that I can't do anything and he didn't need that right now. We had a small fight before and I know he's still upset about it.' I told them

'What happened?' Willow asked concerned, so I told them what happened.

'I feel horrible about it' I said after the story

'Buff it's okay, I understand where you're coming from. We sometimes all forget Spike's a vampire, he acts so normal and like such a nice guy we all forget.' Xander comforted her

'I know, I just love him so much and I feel awful right now'

'Hey Buffy' Willow said

'Yeah? What's up?' I replied unsure what was going on

'Remember that ring you gave Angel'

'Yeah like 2 years ago' I replied

'Yeah, yeah that one'

'The ring of Amara, I couldn't forget that name'

'Well I recently heard that some of it wasn't destroyed. Angel smashed it up in L.A but a big chunk of it flew away. Someone found it and kept it, and turned it back into a ring just with a smaller gem. Anyway I have a friend in L.A who bought it in a Charity shop, she told me about it and the colours and I couldn't believe my ears.' Willow told us

'Wait Will are you serious? Are you sure it's the real thing?' I asked excitedly

'Well yeah, she sent it to me' Willow smiled pulling it out of her pocket

I stared in disbelief as I saw the Ring of Amara in Willow's hand. That was definitely it, the greeny colour, the swirls, oh my God.

After the pizza and the casual chit chat of catching up on what's been happening the gang left after two hours. I held the ring of Amara in my hand, I was so excited to show Spike, shame it was dark outside. I ran up the stairs and found Spike still asleep in bed, he looked so peaceful. I quickly changed into my pyjamas and hoped into the other side of the bed. He shifted a little and the quilt slid off him revealing his shirtless chest, mmm.

'Honey' I said shaking him a little

'Buffy!' He yelled panicking and sitting up 'oh thought you were in trouble sorry' he said

'I have a surprise for you' I smiled

'What is it?' He beamed

I pulled the ring from behind my back and watched Spike's face light up.

'Holy crap' he whispered

'Spike' I said jumping off the bed and running around to the other side, grabbing his hands and pulling him to the edge of the bed. I got down on one knee 'will you be my invincible boyfriend please?' I smiled

'Oh my God Buffy' he whispered 'Of course I'll be your boyfriend' he said looking me in my eyes

'You've always been my boyfriend' I replied confused

'Today, when I stormed off the first time, I was just wondering if I was. Or if I was more or less or I don't know' he frowned

'Yeah you're more. You're the love of my life darling. You're my boyfriend and my everything' I smiled

He held out his hand and I put the ring on his finger.

'And now you're invincible' I smiled

I jumped on his lap and started kissing him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and he swung me onto the bed placing me down.

'Wait' he stopped and pulled away 'if I'm invincible and the Ractars come and take my soul away I'll be a soulless invincible monster! I can't wear this Monday' he yelled

'No sweetie, you have to okay? I don't want you getting hurt soul or no soul I'll love you' I pleaded

'No you won't love soulless me and I don't want you too' he took the ring off and threw it across the room but I caught it.

'You put this ring on right now William, I love you! And if you get hurt I will never forgive myself! Even if you become soulless the good Spike will still be in there and I'll do whatever to bring him back. So don't take it off and die on me God damn it!' I yelled

He took the ring from me, put it on and climbed in bed. He rolled over and snuggled me, I pulled my head back so our faces were touching.

'I love you so much' he whispered

My lips found his and I kissed him, long and hard.

'I love you too'
