10 NARRATIVE&IMESSAGE

CHAPTER 10

Emilio and I walk
into the sway
gaming house and
go look for Amber
who is already
here.

Emilio has said
that he feels kind
of awkward
coming over
because he isn't
close with the boys
nor is he white.

"Hey you guys are
finally here we were
about to start binge
watching some
show." Amber states
from the couch.

"Well I call sitting on
Amber's lap." I joke
to Emilio who rolls
his eyes.

Since there's no
room left on the
couch Emilio and I
literally sit on the
floor.

"Y'all want snacks?"
One of the boys
asks as he gets up
from the couch.

"Yeah, and whatever
works." Another boy
answers with a shrug.

"You guys started it
without me?" Kio
questions as he
walks into the living
room.

Kio waves to me
before stealing the
other guys spot on
the couch.

"Heyy don't steal
my spot Kio." The
guy yells from the
kitchen.

"It doesn't have your
name on it." Kio yells
back with a chuckle.

we need to talk

you could've just called me

we should talk sooner
than later.

I go outside so I
could call my
aunt. No clue why
she's calling me
though.

"Hello, I'm at my
friends right now
but what's up?" I
ask my aunt trying
to not sound
annoyed.

"It's kind of
important." She
states not giving
much explanation.

"Okay what is it?" I
ask again, what's
so important today.

"You need to come
over to take the rest
of your stuff from
your bedroom." She
answers.

"You could've just
texted that but okay."
I chuckle.

Her end goes
silent for a second
before saying, "my
boyfriend wants
you to come over
for dinner this
weekend."

"I guess I can do
that." I answer with
a shrug.

"Also your brother
is coming over."
She states like it's
nothing.

I go completely
silent, quite frankly
I'm shocked.
Never saw that
coming.

"What? For real?"
I question.

"Are you and him
not on good terms
or something?"
She questions
back.

"What do you
mean? I haven't
talked to him in
years." I answer.

My aunt sighs and
says, "he told me
he talked to you."

"I guess I'll be
talking to him at
dinner then." I shrug
before continuing,
"I should go now
though, love you."

And with that the
call ends and I'm
feeling mixed
emotions.

Maybe my brother
is scared to talk to
me? But that bitch
isn't scared of
anything so??

"Hey everyone is
wondering if you're
okay." Vinnie states
from behind me.

"Of course they
send you." I chuckle
rolling my eyes.

"Well I guess you're
okay then." Vinnie
laughs turning to go
back inside.

"Wait." I pause
before continuing,
"you can stay."

Vinnie looks at me
weird but sits down
next to me anyway.

"Okay so you aren't
okay?" He
questions, still
looking at me funny.

"I'm fine, and I was
being nice but I
guess I can't be
nice." I joke.

"I'm confused why
you're being nice
but I won't complain."
He chuckles.

"I'm confused too."
I laugh, "I guess I
just wanted some
company."

"There are people
inside for that."
Vinnie states.

"Shut up, you know
what I meant, the
company is
overwhelming if it's
14 people."

It gets silent but I
don't think either
of us mind.

I'm surprised Vinnie
willingly stayed,
I mean he never did
anything to me but
sometimes you just
"hate" people for no
reason.

"Do you want to
talk about the
phone call? I kind
of over heard the
ending." He asks.

"Oh it's nothing, just
my aunt wanting me
to meet her boyfriend
and finding out my
brother is supposed
to be there." I answer
with a shrug.

"Do you and your
brother have some
sort of beef?"
Vinnie questions.

"No but we abouts
to soon." I chuckle
jokingly, "it's a long
story, well not really
but anyways."

"Oh shit, tell the
story we got all
day." He chuckles.

"Long story short
my brother
disappeared for a
couple of years and
thinks it's cute to
come back and not
tell me."

"Are you guys
coming back inside
or?" Jordan asks us
from the door.

NOTES
Okay fixed the plot with the
brother and made it simpler.
NOT VINNIE GETTING IN
DRAMA BYE
