31 NARRATIVE

CHAPTER 31

After the fight with Vinnie
and I and me breaking
down he's been chill with
me. He's been like
checking on me, it's sweet.

On a whim I invited him
over during the middle of
the night, again. This time
I didn't care if my friends
knew but I liked sneaking
around made it more
suspenseful.

"Want to watch a movie? I
have like 20 Will Smith
movies because I'm in love
with him." I joke falling onto
my bed, "I also have all the
fast and furious movies,
because I'm in love with
the girls."

"I guess we could have a
fast and furious binge
party." Vinnie shrugs joining
me on my bed.

"Wait omg and you can
stay over until we finish it."
I say getting all excited.

"Sure but we are probably
going to end up falling
asleep after the second
movie." Vinnie chuckles.

I get up real fast to go
make popcorn, movies
are no fun without popcorn.
As I'm waiting for the
microwave to finish, Amb
creeps into the living room
area and looks surprised
that I'm up.

Amber has been overly
secretive recently and I
have a theory that she is
seeing someone, because
what else could be up?

"Oh hey I didn't realize
you were up." Amb states
as she watches me.

"Yeah I'm binge watching
some movies right now." I
reply trying to make small
talk while I wait.

There is a knock at the
door, Amber and I look at
each other with shocked
eyes but probably for
different reasons.

"I'll get it." I say with a
smirk waiting for Amber
to be like, "no I'll get it."

To no surprise she says it,
"No it's okay, go watch
your movies and enjoy the
popcorn."

I grab my popcorn and
head around the corner to
spy on Amber, I know I
shouldn't but I'm curious.

"Jes, what are we doing?"
Vinnie questions in a
whisper really close
behind me, causing me to
jump.

"Amber is being secretive."
I answer plainly and
continue, "I just wish she
would talk to me."

"And you talk to her about
you being secretive?
Right you don't, let's start
the movies before she
catches you in her
business." Vinnie chuckles.

I roll my eyes but follow
him back into my room to
start the first movie, which
I've seen like 10 millions
times.

For the first 30 minutes of
the movie we chill eating
the popcorn and glancing
at each other. The second
30 minutes we are like
half asleep and just trying
to stay awake.

"Why am I so sleepy? I'm
never this tired a 2 am."
Vinnie chuckles as the
movie starts to end.

I don't reply because I'm
awake but asleep and kind
of didn't listen to whatever
he just said.

"Wake up." He says loudly
into my ear, and all I see
when I open my eyes is
his stupid face staring at
me all goofily.

"No we can just finish the
movies in our dreams."
I yawn closing my eyes
again.

"You're lame, anyway I'm
going to be right back I
need a drink." Vinnie
comments before getting
out of my bed.
