Chapter 20

As I unlocked my apartment, I looked at Ryder who was on his phone.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

He looked up and nodded and walked away with his head hung down and his hands in his pockets.

As I walking into my apartment I threw my bag and keys on the couch, grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a t shirt and headed into the shower.

I stayed in the shower longer then usual, Using my loofah I aggressively scrubbed my skin. As the water was beating onto my skin, I sat down, crouched with my arms wrapped around my legs.

As I felt tears stream down my cheeks I put my head down. Anger was silently killing me inside.

My Mom used to say No matter how much life knocks you down to your feet, you get up, brush it off and moved on.

But in this case there's no brushing it off and moving on, I refuse to brush it off and move on unless My Dad and those assholes that shot my Mom are behind bars or better, dead..

(Next morning)

I had the day off so I decided to do something my Mom would probably kill me for, I wanted to get a tattoo of her on my shoulder.

I had called my tattoo artist before hand, I had a appointment set for 1:30 pm. In the mean time I did loads of laundry and cleaned my apartment a bit.

Then I headed out, the tattoo parlour was about 25 minutes away so I left around 12:45 knowing there would be traffic.

Once I got to the parlour I was greeted by Ally and Meg they ran the shop together.
Ally did all my tattoos.

Ally smiled

"What's up Aurora It's been a minute"

She signaled me to sit down in a chair next to another girl getting her arm done.

I sighed as I sat down "I know I really didn't think I would get more tats."

She let out a grunt as she sat down in front of me.

"Well what do you plan on walking out with today?"

I chuckled as a pulled up a picture of my Mom on my phone.

"So I want my Mom but just the outline of her from my shoulder to my elbow."

She raised her eyebrows

"Wow your Mom's really pretty!"

The girl getting a tattoo next to me agreed.

"Yes oh my god she's gorgeous! Does she know your getting a tattoo of her?"

I awkwardly scratched the back of my head.

"Well she uh passed away recently.."

"Oh I'm so sorry."

I shook my head "It's fine, you didn't know."

She chuckled "she's so lucky to have a daughter like you! Me and my Mom don't even talk."

I furrowed my eyebrows

"Aww I'm so sorry."

She shrugged

"It's cool. I'm Rihanna by the way."

I smiled "I'm Aurora."

"Aurora I love your name!"

I gasped "thank you, I love your name too!"

She chuckled "Surprisingly my older Brother named me."
