Ryder turned to look at me for a moment

"You and your Brother Alex spilt the will money right?"

I gulped "yeah."

He nodded "Your Dad could be possibly looking for you or your brother to get that money."

I sighed.

"Ace I got something."

Me and Ryder both turned to Miles who was holding a pair of headphones.

Miles handed me the headphones, as I put them on he pressed play

*Recorded phone call* - Michael brown (Aurora's Dad) & Benny sanders (Bar owner, Michael's friend)

"Hey, Benny how's it going?"

"I'm doing good, how about you?"

"I'm doing alright. Hey I'm back in town, I was wondering if I could crash at your place for a few weeks or so."

"Uh yeah that's just fine, I'll have My couch ready for you haha."

"Haha alright I'll be there in a bit, hey on June 9th me, Mark and some boys are meeting by your bar. Is that ok?"

"Yes of course I don't mind."

"Maybe we could hit the strip club next door and get some girls."

"Haha yes we should."

"Well I'll see in a bit."

"alright, see you soon."

"Bye."

"Bye."

*Recorded phone call ends*

I quickly took off the headphones.

"He's meeting with Mark at Benny's
tomorrow."

Ryder furrowed his eyebrows

"Did he say when?"

I shook my head "No he didn't. But there probably gonna meet at night if it's anything sketchy."

He agreed "We can go there, around 8 tomorrow night, I'll pick you up."

I nodded "Yeah I think that's the best idea."

There was a awkward silence.

I cleared my throat

"Well I'm gonna head home it's late."

Ryder nodded

We decided to take the bus which was over crowded. Me and Ryder stood extremely close.

So close that I could smell his leather jacket Kait was right he did smell good. He wore a white shirt underneath and I could see the outside of his well defined abs through his shirt.

I know I'm weird as fuck but who wouldn't look.

He was on his phone, he looked serious. I liked it. Suddenly he looked up from his phone directly at me.

Oh shit.

His eyes shifted to his shirt and then looked back at me with one brow raised.

He shook his head lightly and scoffed then continued to texting on his phone.

I quickly looked away in embarrassment. I'm so fucking stupid, can this bus ride already be over.

Finally after the longest 10 minutes of my life we had got to my stop.

The elevator ride to the 8th floor was just awkward and silent. Ryder had his hands shoved in his pockets and I felt his eyes on me from time to time.
