I Want Your Love

TEN.

The Pacific aubade greeted the shores of Fiji as Haisley, Louise, Panesh and Kasey hiked on a trail not too far from their villa, getting the opportunity to explore the small jungle behind them, pausing to take pictures by the resort's famous waterfall. They were greeted by Rye, Alicia, Archie and Luca upon their return, drinking juice and eating fruit at the patio table.

"Good morning", Louise greeted. "Is breakfast already here?", she asked pointing at the platter of fruit and cheese placed in the centre of the table. "Yes and no. They're busy making breakfast now, unless you have a special request - then you should go place it with them", Rye explained. Both Panesh and Kasey decided leave their special orders with the chef on their way to take a shower, while Haisley and Louise joined the others at the table, snacking on fruit.

The sun continued to rise well into the morning when Meraki and Axel joined everyone at the table, silencing them when they saw the newly-formed couple approaching the table with interlaced hands.

"Well, well, well. It looks like someone owes me a drink", Louise teased as she smiled at her best friend. Meraki looked away as she blushed, but Axel squeezed her hand before pulling her to sit on his lap as he grabbed them some fruit. "So, it's finally official?", Rye asked his twin, grinning.

"Pretty mu--" "Please. He hasn't even asked me to be his girlfriend, or taken me out on a date", Meraki cut in, silencing Axel by shoving a slice of papaya into his mouth. The table (except Alicia) laughed at the act, before sharing their messages of congratulations to the new couple.

Meraki's anxiety deflated as she heard her friends' acceptance, especially from Panesh, who wrapped the two of them in a bear hug while shouting "finally!". 

The happy momentum was disrupted though by the arrival of Astrid, who gaped at the sight of Panesh's arms around the couple. She had just opened her mouth when Luca attempted to close just as quick.

"What the he--" "Nope. Not today Barbie, just shut up and eat your fruit like a good bird", Luca said as he walked past the frozen girl who may have turned pale, but some of the gang assumed that it was due to the lack of her spray tan.

The table laughed at the sight before moving to grab their hot breakfast, discussing their upcoming plans for the day and the rest of the trip. As they walked, Axel wrapped his arms Meraki's shoulders, placing a kiss on her forehead before asking her what she wanted to accompany her breakfast.

Accepting the full feeling of love and gratitude growing in her heart, Meraki looked up and smiled at the man who held her heart, beaming with the joyful thought that she was finally giving her love to someone who wanted not only to receive it, but also reciprocate it.

A/N: That's it for Axel and Meraki. I thought of extending the story, but it was originally created as a short story and I think I'll leave it like that (maybe I'll do a second book, or not, who knows). Please vote and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
