Chapter 32: Battle For The Multiverse: Part 2

Start from the beginning

This saddened Elmitrios. The memory rushed back to him like a tide of remembrance, visualising the scene right before his eyes.

"How near can you go?"

"I am bound to Afterlife, my Lord."

There was a pause on the other side and probably a blast that could be heard in the background.

"Very well. Go to the boundary of Afterlife. You shall meet Laraken there and get back what he hands to you. We need it. You can teleport, while we Gods cannot. This is why I ask you."

Somewhere deep in Saaret's heart, a feeling of pride arose. He was important. They needed him. This gave him a new level of determination.

"I will bring it back to you as soon as Lord Laraken reaches to me."

Elmitrios, had to say no further. Saaret had already teleported.

A weight seemed to lift off from Elmitrios' chest. He heaved a sigh and continued to fight with Juvo, knowing that he had managed to reduce the time. Victory was near. He quickly gave Laraken a call notifying him of the developments.

He took Juvo by a surprise as he kicked him away and descended down towards the ground.

"Are you fleeing now?" Juvo said in chuckles almost in disbelief.

Elmitrios knew better than to answer.

"Your target is Juvo now. ATTACK HIM!" He shouted at the robots. They retracted from attacking Juvo's army and shot for him.

Juvo stared in awe at the approaching swarm and shot at them frantically. But there were too many of them.

I will see to your insect army now, Elmitrios decided in his mind as he shot for them. Their reduced numbers probably didn't stand much of a chance against him. It had been wise to hold off Juvo for this long. Now all He needed was time on His side. He hoped the swarm of robots was enough.

When Laraken reached the outer boundary of Afterlife, He saw Saaret waiting for him. He quickly passed him the vial he was carrying and put a hand on his shoulder. "Deliver this with the utmost care. I went through a lot to find this. It is our only way to defeat Juvo. The contents need to be ingested by him. You have to make it come in contact with his internals. It's the only way it will work."

"I will do as you say, Lord Laraken." Saaret bowed.

Then within a blink of an eye, he teleported.

__________

As instructed by Elmitrios, the robots were piling up on Juvo. He tried desperately to destroy them but his limbs didn't move. His shields were not powerful enough against the lot of them. The swarm congested around him. The remaining army had been dealt with in the meantime by Elmitrios. He knew they had little time. The robots wouldn't last long against Juvo. Juvo was bound to be free in a while. He just hoped Saaret was quick with the delivery.
