Melody hung up and slipped on her shoes she looked in her mirror and shrugged she brushed her teeth and washed her face then got in the car

When she pulled up she got that feeling in her chest she walked in the hospital and the lady at the desk knew her already she'd been here for her brother and she's here everytime one of the guys get hit
This hospital brought on bad memories for them she lost her brothers here and a couple of her close friends
She saw Mikey and hugged him Mikey was jays younger brother his mother was there too she smiled softly and hugged Mel
"Hey mama are you okay? Did you eat something" Mel asked her

"Why hasn't she eaten anything Micheal"
"She won't let us feed her" Angel, jays cousin said
"Ma you have to eat or you'll get sick and when he get up he gone be mad at us if we didn't make you eat the lil hoe can go get you something"
Angel snickered looking at jays girlfriend Nicole
"Nicole can you go get something to eat" Mel asked
"Bitch i ain't the maid I'm waiting on my man to get better I'm the first person you gone wanna see"
Mel raised her eyebrow and laughed "okay lil hoe I'll go get it"
"You can't leave" Mickey said
"It's a McDonald's literally on the corner" Mel said walking out she came back ten minutes later and she saw mama k crying
"Ma what's wrong , what happened sit down please" Mel said helping her sit down
"The bullet it's stuck in his heart and they didn't know they they have to put him in surgery but he isn't strong enliven they have to go through his back and get the bullet out"
"They can't leave it in" Mel asked
Mama K shook her head "they said that if it stays in and something else happens to cause it shock he will die they have to take it out it's a dangerous surgery he might not make it they told us to be prepared for it"
"They woke him up didn't they and he doesn't want to do the surgery and he's looking for me right" Mel says softly
Mama K nodded
"He's so fucking stubborn" Mel said throwing her head back "here mama eat I got Angel and Mickey something too and the lil hoe"
"Oh she left when she ran in there and he asked me where you was at" Mickey said laughing " this why you my favorite sister in law"
Mel shook her head and walked towards jay room
"Julian" Mel said
Jay looked up and forced a smile mel turned around and hid her face
He looked so bad he got shot four times before this and he never looked this bad

Mel wiped her face and laid in bed with him
"Julian you know you have to get this surgery right" Mel said
"Man ion need that shit" Jay said
"Julian if you don't get this surgery you WILL DIE there's no question about it you better get this surgery I'm not playing"
"Why you come outside in these lil ass shorts" Jay said tugging on them
"I just woke up I had to make sure you was good and you're not good telly please" Mel whined
"Alright okay I'll do it for you but if I die that's on you"

Mel and Mama K sat closely together, mama k was sleeping Mikey left to take Angel home since she had school tomorrow but Melody wasn't leaving

"Yea he out of surgery they said his heart strong there were no complications he's going to be good" Mickey said "he's sleep ma in there right now but I think she gone stay can you stay with them"
Mel nodded and walked into the room, mama was sleep in the extra bed Mel asked the nurse if she could lay with Jay and she said yeah she added an extra bed in the room and put it next to jays
Mel kissed his cheek and closed her eyes
