The clink of the billiard balls rings through the air, catching Sam's attention as he enters the full bar. He looks around, scanning the busy crowd for the familiar faces of his brother and best friend. Finally, he spots Dean drinking at the bar and flirting with the bar tender. With a turn of his head, Sam gestures to an empty table. The oldest Winchester gets the hint and bids the bar tender goodbye, joining his brother at the table seconds later.
"I talked to the bar tender."
Sam hums and looks up at his big brother, his eyes leaving the pages of his father's journal. "Did you get anything? Besides her number."
"Dude, I'm a professional. I'm offended that you would think that."
The tallest Winchester gives his brother a knowing look. Dean smiles and chuckles, "All right, yeah." he holds up a napkin with the bar tender's number.

"You mind doin' a little bit of thinking with your upstairs brain, Dean?"
But his big brother is already distracted as he searches the crowded bar for his best friend. "Huh?" He mumbles absentmindedly.
Sam follows his gaze, his eyes landing on Diana who's playing pool with a bunch of college boys. The youngest Winchester rolls his eyes. "She's fine, Dean. It's not like she hasn't done it before."
Dean shakes his head and focuses back on his father's journal that Sam has brought with. "Look, there's nothing to find out. I mean, Meredith worked here, she waited tables, everyone here was her friend. Everybody said she was normal. She didn't do or say anything weird before she died, so —what about that symbol, you find anything?"
Sam sighs and shakes his head, his long brown hair sweeping in front of his eyes. "Nope, nothing. It wasn't in dad's journal or any of the usual books. I just have to dig a little deeper I guess."
