"No. I just don't want to." Taehyung answers, ignores the whole statement before the question that Jeongguk said.
"Okay. Now sit at front." Jeongguk says, a finality in his voice and he moves away. He sits on the driver seat and Taehyung closes the backseat door.
"You're worse than Hyunjae in this one minute than he's been in a whole week." Taehyung says and Jeongguk sighs.
"Good that you atleast admit he's a piece of shit." Jeongguk says, knows Taehyung won't sit at front.
"Will your---mafia members be okay with me?" Taehyung asks as soon as they hit the road.
Taehyung's going with him, he looks hesitant, it's all over his face, in his eyes, his voice quivers and he's biting his lips a lot and he might even be scared but atleast he's coming with him to the mansion where Hyunjae can't ever reach him.
And Jeongguk can't even explain this feeling. It feels like a huge accomplishment even though he is yet to have Taehyung the way he wants to.
"Why wouldn't they?" Jeongguk asks.
"I mean, I'll be living with them and---they might not even agree with this since I was with Hyunjae first---". Taehyung says.
"Don't worry about that. They won't hurt you at all and they'll be okay." Jeongguk says and Taehyung closes his eyes.
What have I gotten myself into? Taehyung sighs.
"Just because I'm going with you doesn't mean you'll get to treat me like I'm a fucking dog on a leash." Taehyung says, his voice firm and he means it.
"The moment you become him, I leave. Promise me that I'll leave." Taehyung says and he looks at Jeongguk's eyes from the front mirror, they're furrowed, hard.
"Shouldn't you be taking a promise of not treating you like one rather than of letting you go?" Jeongguk asks.
"I don't want you to make me a promise you can't keep, Jeon." Taehyung mumbles.
"Okay." That's all Jeongguk says and the rest of the ride is spent in silence.
Taehyung doesn't question again, why Jeongguk is doing this. What he actually wants and he doesn't even ask himself---what even is he doing with a person he hates so much.
-----------------------
"You don't have to be scared---".
"Please. I'm not." Taehyung monotonously says because he really isn't scared. He's never a shy person, can face people and can certainly gave Jeongguk's mafia members since he can face the mafia boss too. Way easily.
"I can't keep you in my penthouse, you'll be alone and the security is nothing compared to here. You'll be safe here." Jeongguk says and Taehyung's not paying any attention, he's looking at the walkway they walk on, passing the security gate and now to the main entrance of the mansion.
It's beautiful. Taehyung knows it'll be as beautiful inside as it is from outside. There are no guards and Taehyung doesn't know what type of security Jeongguk talks about when there's no one here.
"I live here, barely go to the penthouse and now I have a reason to not go there at all." Jeongguk says and Taehyung looks at him, raises his eyebrow at him and the mafia boss only smirks.
"We'll see. And trust me, if any of those people inside said something that I don't like, offended me, I won't hold back." Taehyung says and Jeongguk nods, smiling in amusement.
"As you wish, gorgeous." Jeongguk whispers and Taehyung rolls his eyes. He actually feels excited. He hates that he feels excited.
He follows Jeongguk as he opens the door, the hall is big, the theme is gray and white with a tint of black. He hears chatters, laughs and glances at the side where the main sitting area is, separated by the glass where they are now. They cross it and he sees the couches occupied by some guys.
