Although she had been careful not to grow too fond of him because all of it was a lie. She doesn't want to get hurt when all of it is over. But she couldn't help the feeling she get when she is around him. How her heart flutters, the butterflies feeling in her stomach, how excited she got when he commented on her dressing and amazingly the feeling she got when he acts like he didn't care.
He actually could be a real jerk with little or no tolerance for things. He can be short-tempered and sometimes annoying.
But the feeling she is having for this man is scaring her and at the same, she doesn't want it to go away. She wants to believe. She wants to know how it will feel to love someone again. And how it will feel to love someone like Demilade.
He is the least of the person she would have thought of loving. But at the same, love doesn't make you pick. It picks for you.
She is stepping on the wrong path. A path that can lead to her heart being broken. A path that she isn't supposed to go near. A path she had made a deal with will never happen. A path she might regret in the end. But somehow, she just wanted to feel. Just feel. And hope a little.
She had grown up hoping and hoping and she was so used to coping. And what she wanted to do now is to continue hoping. Hope that she might have a chance with Demilade. Hope that something good could actually comes out of this deal.
Something she is afraid might be too dangerous. Something that was twenty per cent out of a hundred probability.

Demilade sat in the conference room with some of his important team. He just finish a meeting with some of his managers and board members.
"Gideon you will be coming with me and Uche to Tokyo. And you too, Henry." He said picking up a file.
"Sir, do you mean me?" The so-called Mr Henry asked touching his chest in surprise. He looked around the room.
He is not the only one who is surprised. The other people in the room are surprised.
He looked up from the file in his hand. "Yes. You. Aren't you Henry?"
"I.. I... I am." The young engineer stuttered, stupefied.
"But sir..." Uche spoke up to say what is in the mind of others. "Sir, he is newly employed and just graduated a year ago. He doesn't have enough experience."
The others nodded in agreement and they stared at Demilade with curiosity to hear what he have to say.
"I know that. I saw his project and I like what I saw in him at the interview. Didn't I say I can't forget you among my employees?" He asked looking at Henry with a blank face.
"Yes... Yes sir." He answered politely with a little nod.
The young man looked around him with discomfort. Every eye was on him. He swallowed and turned back to his boss.
"So you are going with me. This is your time to prove yourself and prove me right. Don't let me down." Demilade said with an undertone that most of them couldn't decipher.
"I won't sir. I won't. Thank you." He appreciated it with a broad smile.
Uche just shrugged without saying anything.
"Do you have a passport?" Demilade asked the man.
"Yes sir."
"Prepare his visa too," Demilade instructed his secretary.
