ᴛᴡᴇɴᴛʏ ɴɪɴᴇ

It was around 9 PM and Kai still doesn't want to sleep.

Not that no one wanted to help him sleep but he was actually avoiding his friends.

He looked at his phone when it buzzed. He took it to see a new message from a person that's been messaging him for a week now.

He stood up and changed his clothes. Then he took his car keys and swiftly left the penthouse.

He went to the location that was sent to him which is an expensive restaurant. He waited at the reserved seat under his name and after a few minutes, the person he was expecting finally arrived.

"Did I kept you waiting?" Kai did not reply and only looked away.

"Come on! We'll be married soon! Why are you being like this?" The girl pouted as she gestured the waiter to come closer.

"Bring us your most famous and expensive dish!" She ordered with a sassy tone and the waiter bowed before he left.

Kai scoffed clenching his fist. He had his usual blank expression as he turned to her.

"Why did you call me here?" He asked in annoyance.

"Don't be so uptight Kai! We should enjoy our dinner first before proceeding to our conversation!"

"I insist... And don't say my name as if we're really close to each other!" Kai retorted and stood up.

He was about to left when she said...

"The days are counting... And I already told you to leave them... You won't like it if I let my father handle this!"

Kai shut his eyes in distress. He bit his lip before turning back to her and returned to his seat.

As soon as their food arrived, they finished it quietly and the girl finally decided to talk.

"So Alex and I are moving to Hanlim tomorrow..." she said filled with excitement while Kai only remained with his poker face.

"Is that it?" he asked in a bored tone. "If that's all you're going to say then I'll leave now!" He said and stood up leaving the blond girl.

She ran and followed him to the parking lot. She suddenly grabbed his jacket when he was about to enter his car.

A trace of anger can be seen on his face.

"I told you not to lay a finger on me!" He said and drastically pushed her away.

"Aren't you going to take me home!?" She exclaimed and Kai turned to her with a blunt expression.

"You came here by yourself! So leave by yourself!" He said and went in his car completely ignoring her yelling at him.

It's been a week when this girl started messaging him.

Her name is Angel. She was a childhood friend. But not to him atleast.

Angel used to be close with Leana and Bahiyyih. Not until they thought Kai killed them.

Angel and her family knows everything about Kai. And her family were closed to his not until the Huening Clan betrayed them to form an alliance with the Saints.

But now all the Saints are dead. Kai and Beomgyu's family stood as the most powerful clan given that the heirs of this clan are the ones that killed all the Saints.

Since they were kids, Angel was already engaged to Kai. But it didn't matter to him as he felt no importance with his life.

Not until he met Yuna and his classmates.
