Chapter 25

We stop as more Demon Slayers stand in front of us, and we ready ourselves.

"Here's another bunch."
Inosuke grumbled.

"No..."
A girl spoke up, terrified.
She's still alive...

"Don't come any closer."
She whimpered, her sword stabbed in another one's throat.
"Call someone of a higher rank. Otherwise, everyone will get killed!"

She started crying, and I feel even more horrified as she begged, utterly helpless as her body was no longer her own.

She suddenly raised her sword.
"Run!!"
Her arms moved to slash at Tanjiro, who backed away.

She was so fast!
"I'm being controlled, so my movements aren't my own at all! I was never this strong!"

Her sword struck aimlessly around her, the threads pulling her arms back until one of them could be audibly heard cracking before running to fight Tanjiro.

This demon is forcing her to move against her will! It doesn't even cared her bones are broken!

As long as it has a body to control it will continue to kill.
Who knows how many it's already gotten?!

Tanjiro struggled to defend himself, the girl's movements unpredictable and unbearably fast!

The rattling began once more, and I quickly draw my sword to defend myself as I'm almost slashed.

My eyes widen in horror, the boy that struck me crying.
"Please, kill me..."
His arm was bent in every unnatural way possible, broken and yet forced to move. The pain of his wounds must be unbearable...

"M-My arms and legs... The bones are piercing my inner organs! Every time I'm forced to move, the pain gets stronger."

I stare in horror, aware of how much they're suffering. So many more have suffered just as or even worse pain from this demon.
Alive, forced to fight until they're dead...

"I can't take it anymore! Either way, I'll die! So please, help me. Please give me the final blow..."

"Fine, then!"
Inosuke rushed up to try and hurt him once I managed to get away, dodging all strikes that came his way.

"Inosuke, you can't! We have to help them!"
Tanjiro yelled, still fighting with the girl.

All of us had someone to deal with, so our hands were tied.
Inosuke still charged at me and the boy, and I had to blow him aside, resulting in a deep gash on my arm.

"Inosuke, stop!"
I yell at him.

"Shut it up, will you?! He's asking us to kill him!"

I get away from him and run back to Tanjiro and Inosuke, panting.

"They're so fast..."

"If we get caught slacking we're done for!"
Inosuke growled, clearly annoyed.

"Let me think! Just hold on for a second!"
Tanjiro added, and I'm left to boil in my own thoughts.
