Juno woke up in the morning feeling nauseous at 10:24, thinking to herself why she scrolled through instagram till 2 am in the morning when she had classes at 9 am.
Her sister was not in their bedroom nor she had come to wake her up at 8:55 for her to attend her online classes. Covid-19 already was a problem but she had to take up the responsibility of 'studying' in the online classes and ace her exams which were 4 months away.
She woke up, looked around the house to find no one there. "Did they go to grandma's without telling me?" she muttered to herself. She called her mom but no one picked up. She repeated this with her dad and grandma's mobile but no one seemed to answer. She got a bit concerned and turned her instagram app on. "No new stories?" she surprisingly whispered as she saw that they were no new instagram stories or posts since the last time she had scrolled before sleeping off.
She ate some food because priorities, went on to all the social media accounts and did not come to any conclusion except for the fact that no one ever updated anything for the last approximate 9 hours. She had just moved into a new neighborhood so she did not know any neighbors to begin with. She went outside her house to the supermarket which was right in the front to see if anyone was there but , it was locked. No sign of stray dogs which used to trouble her for food. She started getting anxious and did not seem to understand as to why all of this was happening and where did everyone go. Everyone seemed to have disappeared but she did not think that it was an apocalypse since she got strong signals on her phone, good amount of tap water and electricity in every appliance in her house. She came to a conclusion of posting a story on instagram to see if anyone was 'alive' or responding.
She waited for hours and hours till she had almost given hope, but there was a notification on her phone, Nate responding to her story: "Are you alive?"
