Chapter 24

"Gimme! I'm gonna prove I can fly better than you can!!"

"You can't airbend! Without much airbending you'll do more falling than flying!"

"Tsk! Then how do I fly, woman?!"

I sigh and shake my head, getting on, holding my hand out to him.
"You just hold on."

He wasted not a second more, getting on swiftly, tightly holding on.
"Great, now what?"

I smirk.
"Now, we fly."
With a deep breath, I send us up into the air, Inosuke screaming at the top of his lungs.

"YAHOO!"
He laughed, and I just realized the position I put myself in willingly, making me blush.
Gah! No, stop thinking weird stuff! You just met him and he broke like three of your ribs!! He's just handsome! That's it!

He grabbed a tighter hold of the glider, now guiding it. I screamed at the sharp turns, grabbing onto him tighter out of reflex as we start to drift down, but luckily I managed to send us up at the last moment.
"INOSUKE, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!"

"Oh?! Scared already?! Are my skills that legendary?!"
He laughed maniacally, shoving his boar mask in my face.

"Inosuke, we nearly fell! Stop tugging so hard on the glider!"

"Hah! Just you wait and see, arrowhead!"
I could get a small peek of his face from under the mask, seeing his smile, so I let him guide us however he wants, and I hold us up in the air. Didn't make it any less terrifying, but it did start becoming quite fun.

"Hey, we need to land. Tanjiro is waving us down."
I tug on his arm, and he ignores me.
"Insouke? Hey, did you hear a word I said? We need to land."

He still ignored me, yelling nonsense.
I roll my eyes and sigh.
"I'll let you fight me if we land, Inosuke. How about that?"

At the mere mention of a fight, he let me bring us down, rushing manically as we nearly crash again, Tanjiro looking me with mild worry.
"Are you guys okay?! You were yelling like crazy out here!"

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR HEART, Y/N?! WHY IS IT SO LOUD!"
Zenitsu covered his ears, cringing.

"Blame him! He's the madman who nearly crashed us into the ground!"

"You said you'd fight me, arrowhead. I want my fight!"
Inosuke yelled, clenching his fists.

"Later, Inosuke!"

"But I want my-!"
I just blast a gust of wind into his face, lightly smacking him with my glider."

"I said later. I need to lie down, my heart is gonna burst, good heavens, I am never taking you flying ever again."

"Hah! You're just jealous I did better than you!"

"Be glad I didn't throw you off halfway, pig-head!"
I get back inside, seeing Nezuko sitting in her box, her knees up to her chest as she mumbled.

"Hey, Nezuko."
I smile and sit close to her, her grumbles now louder.
"Did Zenitsu tire you out? I'm sorry. He's a little clingy, but he's not a bad guy, you'll adjust."
