She nodded. She looked at Demilade and then entered the room. Three women were in the room watching the kids. One elderly woman among them was carrying a baby. She greeted them and told them she was from their proprietress. They nodded and let her have her freedom in the room.
She moved to the middle of some little children who were not more than two to three years. One of the babies on the floor was not more than eight months old. She picked up the boy and placed him on her lap. He smiled and curled closer to her arm.
It was so pitiful watching them knowing they are alone in the world with no real family. But she was glad, at least, that there have a safe environment and a shelter above their head. The people in the building had become their new family.
She didn't know how long she played and taught the children how to arrange some toys. When the little boy she was carrying slept, she laid him in a cot and left the room to look for Demilade and Big mom.
She went back to the first hall containing kids. And at the far end of the room were children gathered in a circle. They were about nine to thirteen years of age. They sat in circles on the red rug that cover the floor of the room. They used rugs in most of the rooms so that kids would be able to play around without slipping. And to make their feet warm. Some were still playing around while some were watching TV.
She entered the room. She noticed some men and women sitting on different couches in the room watching the children. A child ran up to one of them and give her a toy before going back to his peers.
It was then she realized that the kids who had gathered around were circling Demilade. He was saying something to the kids and they listened with keen interest.
She stood some feet away and watch them even though she wasn't hearing what they were saying.
"They like listening to him." Someone said behind Lola and she turned around to see her intruder.

Longest chapter I've ever written.
Please don't bite me o. I know it's too long. It wasn't as long as this before but while I was editing it, new ideas came in and I just felt like I should add it. I had to cut some parts away to make it shorter. So please understand me 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think I spoil your bubbles about this chapter. It wasn't Demilade ex that called him. Just an annoying character. Who remembers Sholape? She gave Lola tutorials before the deal began.
And this chapter discussed a lot of things. Talking about children and most especially Facade. What people show to the outside world and who they really are, what everyone loves to believe without questioning to know the real truth and also the influence of media and celebrities on youth. The chapter will be so full when we begin to talk about everything. So I will just cut it short.
It's not everything we see we should believe. Some people had built their lives on lies. Some on pretence and there is someone out there comparing themselves to that person, trying to be like that person. They are practically destroying themselves without knowing. Try to be yourself. You can learn from others, don't try to be like them. Everyone is different and unique in their own way. Like the saying in the movie 'The Message' - you are practically perfect as yourself.
What influence us matters a lot. Is it affecting us positively or negatively? Is it bringing out our good self or our bad side? Those are the questions we should be asking ourselves about our role models and influencers.
Youths and teens ought to be careful. Celebrities should also know the kind of things they do, say, sing and wear because many kids out there are watching and are been influenced.
Enough of the talk. Don't mind me. I was just listening to a rap song by Tom Macdonald yesterday and I was shocked by the lyrics saying how many teens are what they are now because of celebrities' influences. And he is right. So it actually kind of fell into the story while I was editing it.
So any words for this chapter?
