I'm not a writer, just a pretty good DnD player who wants to write about his character.

That being said, I'd say I'm pretty proud of this.

Tarthuul is just about as rambunctious as you can get while still being a staple of the party's moral compass. In short, he's an absolute legend. Tarthuul is a Shadow Monk learning his tricks, not from a monastery but from a thieves' guild by the name of the Vagabonds in a port city called Port Mabari.

So, in case you're unaware, the suffix -ul in Goblinese means "son of"

So, in case you're unaware, the suffix -ul in Goblinese means "son of". Therefore, Enter Tarthus, good ole pops. Tarthus is actually the leader of the Vagabonds which... may or may not be the only reason Tarthuul managed to be associated. See, Tarthuul wasn't always a dope ass fighter with dope ass skills, he was kind of a loser.

Tarthuul's mother passed away when he was very young, she was also a member of the Vagabonds and was sent on a mission (the type of mission unknown to Tarthuul) to a place called Westfalen, which she never returned from.

Anyway enough of the depresso

His dad couldn't just get him a position without him earning it because that's a little too corrupt even for a thieves' guild, we all about loyalty. But his dad did manage to get him something, at least. Not as a disciple to the guild, but rather... they were low on "culinary proteges". Yeah, he was just the cook.

But hey, every time Tarthuul comes back, the Vagabonds are always asking for his famous turkey melt, which is BOMB by the way

But hey, every time Tarthuul comes back, the Vagabonds are always asking for his famous turkey melt, which is BOMB by the way.

Around the time he became the head chef of the Vagabonds (maybe making his way up the wrong totem pole) he met a girl. This girl wasn't just any girl, she had the power to take his breath away in an instant. Dylte, her aura overtook Tarthuul like a fresh, cool breeze. The second he laid eyes on her he knew he was going to marry this girl.

She frantically rushed into the Vagabond's HQ that day, which is usually a super elusive location. Tarthuul immediately wondered if she was a new recruit (he wouldn't mind seeing her around more often). She explained to one of the disciples that her father was in danger. Her father, Drexus, was a hunter, she was worried because he hadn't come back from the woods for a considerable time. Immediately Tarthuul lept over the bar, ran to her, and promised to do all that he could to help. Before anyone could stop him or try to convince him not to go, he was out. A man on a mission like this one, a mission for the security of the love of his life, cannot be stopped.
