When going through the worst parts of town, car doors are locked and windows are shut no matter if your AC works or not. Empty faces are passed, even ones of children who are too young for their eyes to not be bright anymore. The only colors I've seen through the taped windows and graffiti designed exteriors were clothes of children who ran past, dodging the broken bottles and old cigarette butts, laughing as they chased each other through the alleys. Their masks never once fell from their wrapped heads.
