{If you notice any mistakes please point them out to me. I'm probably only going to update this on the weekend since I'm in school and busy during the week}

Jade was walking up the stairs to her apartment, soaking in everything around her. The old apartments reminded her of her childhood, she had grown up in an old worn down house.

As she walked up the stairs the wood creaked with age and some steps splintered. She finally reached her door step and set her luggage down, causing more floor boards to creak.

Jade unlocked the door with a jiggle of the key, "Just like Mom and Dad's house." She sighed letting the nostalgia seep in.

As the door creaked and jittered open, the old almost damp smell of the room enveloped Jade's nose. She couldn't help but take a deep breath and remember running around the halls of her childhood home.

She walked in and set her luggage by the couch and tossed her bag onto it. She then started walking around, taking in all that was to be seen.

She rubbed the walls, feeling the old smooth wallpaper below her finger tips, as she walked to the kitchen.

She chuckled as she saw the water stains all around the sink, "Dad could never wash dishes without making a mess." She sighed

As she left the kitchen, she noted that all the appliances were new-ish. Jade made her way down the short hallway with only a bathroom and bedroom off it. The bathroom was small and musty.

As she glanced around, she only saw one vent covered in dust. "That's why it smells in here." She said, making a note to clean it later in her mind.

She made her way across the hall to the bedroom. Even the bed looked ancient. The frame was scuffed and in desperate need of a stain job, and the blanket looked straight out of the 70's. Jade pulled the blanket off, wanting to check the bed. To her surprise, it looked almost new, like no more than 5 people has slept in it.

"Thank god." She sighed, flopping down. "I'm so tired."

The best thing about her hobby was seeing everything the world had to offer, but it did come at the price of late nights and early mornings.

Jade could barely clear her mind enough to drift into a restless sleep.
