I take off my seat belt getting out of the car. We both walk in showing off our badges. We gather as much information as we can and need. Seems as though we're dealing with a serial sadist. He kidnaps these girls strips them down and abuses them brutally before killing them. It seems as though he then finds another victim switches clothes and then disagrees of the bodies without of care of who may see them. He doesn't take his time as to show remorse or care for these girls. He just tosses them at random and leaves them there. I shake my head in disappointment. I feel so bad for these girls. No one should be disregarded and treated this way. I guess I have to be positive about the situation though. We found them, their family gets to have a proper funeral for them and we will catch their killer and bring them to justice.
We thank the pathologist for their time and head out. The girls were usually knocked out, my guess is to stop them from fighting back, scaring on their wrist and ankles shows they were held and kept down with wiring. They have little to no food in their system, he doesn't take care of these girls, he doesn't care.
We regroup with the team and all share our findings. This is a tough case. We'll never catch him in time to save Elena. "What if I go to his comfort zone, maybe I could run into him, meet him then we'll know who he is, who we're looking for." I suggest. "Or you could get taken, you're exactly his type." Aaron buts in. "Maybe, maybe not. It could be in a public place, you guys will be there listening, just to talk to him maybe get clues as to where he lives or could be keeping Elena." I defend. "It's risky but I definitely think it's worth a shot." Morgan states. "See." I gesture to him and Aaron shakes his head not even hearing me out. "I said no." He says sternly. "Come on we have no leads, if I go into his comfort zone." I point to Reid's intercepting circles on his map. "He would be compelled to talk to me. He won't be able to resist."
"It's not smart Edythe. If he takes you Elena is dead." He says crossing his arms. "I won't get taken." He shakes his head. "But you could." He states.
"You both have fair points." JJ states trying to ease the tension. "I agree with Edythe and Morgan I think the possibility of him him running into Edythe and trying to kidnap her out ways the risks, she knows how to react and respond in situations if she ever was to get kidnapped." I nod in agreement. "You guys won't let him take me and if he does or tries that would be enough for an arrest and we can interrogate him about Elena. Hotch, its a perfect plan."
"I already made up my mind the answer is no." I take a deep breath in trying to keep myself calm. "I'm not understanding why, it's a good plan. it's solid." I cross my arms over my chest. "I don't want you getting hurt." He says uncrossing his arms. "Oh, my god." Irritation lacing my voice. "You're seriously going to try and get in the way at successfully closing this case? If it were Emily or JJ would you let them go? Or is it just me?!" He wants me to be professional, he wants me to do my job then prevents me from doing so.
"I said no Edythe that's final!" He shouts back. "you're being such a prick." I spit making sure he and everyone else notices my hostility. Fuck this job, and fuck him. He is impossible to be around. Maybe I could get my old job back. He points to the door. 'Walk." he says sternly. "Excuse me?" I question raising my brow. "I said, get out and take a walk!" I drop my arms from my chest. "Where the hell am I suppose to walk?" I snap back with some sass in my voice. "Don't know, don't care just walk before I fire you." I scoff in disbelief. "Then fire me." The words fall out before I even finish thinking them.
"Why don't you grab us all some coffee?" Reid suggests in a soft tone. "You know what we all like? It will give you both time to cool and we could all use the extra boost." He says putting his hand on my arm. My glare doesn't leave Hotch, wondering if he will actually fire me. He turns around to face the board folding his arms over his chest. If smoke could fume out of his ears and nose they would. It's as if I can feel the heat radiating off of him. "Yeah, I'll go do that." I walk away grabbing the keys from Rossi's jacket pocking that's hanging from one of the policemen's chair.
