Chapter 6

When Kanan and Ezra got home Kanan was the first to get out of the car and go in Ezra soon followed soon after with the dog in hand. When he stepped though the door Hera was there with a first aid kit Ezra took it setting on the floor in the living room. " Do you want some help with your cut?" Hera asked with worry Ezra shock his head saying " I want to help Chopper first." Hera's eye widen asking " Chopper?" Ezra pointed to the dog nodding his head before getting stared looking over  the dog. Hera walked back to the kitchen saying " He's looking over the dog. He named it Chopper." Kanan blinked looking in to the living room to see Ezra take great care of the dog not pushing to heard and when he would come across a sore place on the dog and it jumped he would mumble a sorry petting its head then goo right back to what he was doing. Hera sighed saying " We it looks like im going to have to run by the Doctor , to the vet and the pet store." Kanan jaw dropped saying " What?!" Hera smiled saying " Well Ezra looks like he could take great care of the dog and I dont know where that kid kept that knife." Kanan blinked then smile leaning over kissing Hera before saying " You are truly amazing." Hera smiled saying " I know." as she walked out of the kitchen. She look at Ezra saying " Come on. We have to take you to the Doctor and take Chopper to the vet." making sure there was no room to question her. Ezra stood with the dog in his arm they walked out and got into the car make there way to town. Hera looked over at the dog in Ezra's lap saying " Chopper looks like he would be a very pretty rust color once he gets a bath." Ezra nodded saying " Yeah but I think his belly is white?" Hera nodded asking " Vet or Doctor first?" Ezra said immediately with a determine look on his face " Vet." Hera blinked then nodded. They got there five minutes later pulling into a nearly empty parking lot they got made there way in Ezra sat down with Chopper in his lap and Hera went to talk to the lady at the desk. Ezra know that Chopper was under weight he shouldn't be able to carry him so easy Ezra was sure that his back right leg was broken but he didnt know how bad. Ezra jumped when Hera called him over he walked over to her and she lead him into a small room with a table in the middle of it, it was a normal vet work room. Ezra placed Chopper down on the table standing next to it waiting for the doctor to come in. Ezra heard the door open but didnt look up " So what seems to be the problem with the poor thing." Ezra whipped around at the sound of that voice say " Rya is that you?" before he know it he was being hugged so tight it was hard to breath but he hugged her back anyway " Im so glade your okay." he heard her say, he smiled saying " Yeah im okay and really happy know." she pulled back looking over at Hera saying " I hope his been good." Hera laughed saying " When he isn't messing with his older bother." Rye smiled at that saying " That sounds like him. Okay know down to business what happened to the poor dear?" Ezra told her everything and she said for them to come back in a hour to get the results. They made there way to the Doctor to get Ezra checked out. It was a fifteen minute wait to get to see the Doctor but Hera was not happy with what he had to say Ezra needed stitches but he just said that was fine. The Doctor asked Ezra to take of his shirt off when he did she was shocked to see all the scares that he had it wasnt right for a child like him to have so many scares like that she thought. She watched as Ezra didnt even flinch when they gave him the shot the Doctor started to saw up the wound " Do you think Chopper is going to be okay?" Ezra asked never once bothered by the needle and thread going though his skin Hera just smiled saying " Well just have to see what happens." He nodded looking around bored of having to just sit there Hera saw the Doctor look up at him before going back to the wound. after five more minutes Ezra had ten stitch's and his shirt back on standing next to Hera as she talked to the Doctor. Hera put her hand on Ezras head running her fingers though his hair saying " Why dont you go sit in the car i want to ask the Doctor some question." He nodding walking out the door. Hera turned back to the Doctor when he said " I have never seen a child not flinch once when being stitch up. I know grown men who get sick at just the thought of it." Hera nodded say " Yeah can you get me a copy of his hospital records?" He noded making his in to his office typed on his computer then come out with a copy of it. Hera take it saying thanks and good as she made her way out the door to her car. When they go to the vet again the sun was going down Hera stopped saying " You go a head im going to call Kanan." Ezra nodded going into the vets Hera got out her cell phone she called Kanan when he picked up she said " Hey we are going to be late so odder tack out. but Kanan i really called you to talk to you about Ezra's hospital record." " okay whats wrongs with them." Hera sighed saying " There In odder and every thing its whats in them that scares me." Kanan paused saying " Are they really that bad?" Hera sighed saying " yeah they are. I'll let you look at them when we get home." Kanan sighed saying " Okay i'll talk to you later." Hera said a quick good bye. She put her hand over her eyes trying to get er self together when a nook came on the window she jumped looked up to see a grinning Ezra at her window she rolled it down asking " Well how is he?" Ezra frowned saying " He's going to have his leg removed but other then that he's going to be fine. Rya also wanted to talk to you." Hera nodded get out of the car walking in to see Rya waiting for her. " We are going to have to keep Chopper over night. We have fack legs here for him to use and everything should be fine but the first three weeks after the surgery will be hell for you guy he's going to need med for then but if you want to he can stay for then and Ezra can vest him all he wants." Hera nodded say "lets do that. how much do i owe you?" Rya shuck her head saying " Nothing." Hera stopped saying " What...We have to pay you something." Rya just laughed saying " Gave me something better then pay you gave me peace of mind but if you must pay way not let Ezra babysit my daughter when i ask." Hera looked over at Ezra asking with her eyes if it was okay. He nodded his head Hera smiled turning back to Rya nodding. Rya laughed saying i'll see you two latter then." They waved good bye making there way to the car to go home. When they got home everyone was in the kitchen eating or well Kanan was eating Sabine and Zeb were fighting over the last slice of cheese pizza. Ezra walked up to the counter looked at both Sabine and Zeb seeing that they were busy glaring at each other he leaned over and toke the slice before walking to the table to sit and eat it after a minute Zeb blinked and Sabine jumped back cheering but when she went to get her prize she saw the slice was gone. Looking around she saw Ezra eating it " When did...how did you....but thats was...EZRA that was mine." Ezra glanced over before turning back to look out side saying " All is far in love and war." Never once smiling. Everyone laughed at that but Sabine and Ezra. Sabine watch closely at Ezra seeing he meant those words. She went and grabbed a mushroom slice of pizza before sitting down asking " Hared you had to go to the doctor. How many stitch's did you get?" Ezra glace over saying " Ten but my record is 250 still holding to." Sabine stopped in mid bit at that look at Ezra as he got up and though out his trash asking " Can i go to my room?" Hera nodded. They all watch as he went up to his room. Sabine put down her pizza saying 'I'm not felling so hungry anymore. The kid just said his record was 250 stitch's there no way that it was not life threatening." Hera sighed saying " It was they actually lost him twice when they sawed that up."  They all look at Hera asking " How do you know that?" Hera pulled out papers saying " I got copies of his hospital records after i saw the scares. The one with the 250 stitch's was a cut from his left shoulder to his right side." They all gasped looking down " Did they know what caused it " Kanan asked. Hera's hands balled up into fist saying " A beer bottle." Kanan glance at the paper in front of him then up the stairs getting up he walked up to Hera saying " All we can do is not get angry at what has been but stop what could be." Hera sighed leaning into the hug nodding.
