okay can we just take a second to appeciate both C!Thomas' arc and thomas himself??? like these beinging ones are so bright and fun and deal with fairly lighthearted topics, and C!Thomas himself is so happy and peppy and fun (not that thomas isnt now but there's like...an air, i guess? that thomas isnt himself, he's his own side, titled 'joy' or 'happiness' or something. then we get to pof and thomas is swearing and glaring at the camera and moody and more himself. i know that the sides get their arcs talked about a lot but like. never c!thomas'. i have never seen that. change that i am begging you

also the jump cuts. not they just cut between characters and it so much cooler. thomas and his team also went through a developmental arc too apparently lol (seriously it looks so gOOD NOW- NOT THAT IT DOESNT BUT IT GOT  B E T T E R)

okay i just really like the hand gestures and eye movements during 'do i really know myself as well as i should' thats it

logan is his intellectual side. every fact he's ever learned.

roman is his fanciful side. hopes, dreams, creativity. and his love of disney songs.

roman sings 'do you want to build a snowman' which (shitty theory time u ready?) could imply that remus and himself were separated when they were little (remus to dark sides and roman to light sides) and roman just. really wants to see his brother again okay???? also maybe its just implying remus' existance. or maybe its just roman singing (beautifully <3) 

patton is his moral side. sense of right and wrong he's learned since he was a kid from his own parental units. and also his love of dad jokes. d-dad jokes. *nods* dad jokes-

roman is really really good at insulting people. as he should be, hes creativity. i dont see enough of that. GIVE ME PLAYFULLY MEAN BUT HE'S STILL YOUR FRIEND ROMAN THAT IS WHAT I  D E S I R E   I N   L I F E -

(also yes i know these earlier videos probably arent the most accurate bcs there wasnt a surefire plotline yet but whatever)

translation/side note: janus deals with self preservation, right? and listing all the stuff wrong with yourself doesn't exactly seem like that. so when thomas is like 'maybe this was a bad idea' that might be janus trying to protect him from. uh. himself??? idk just a thought

also like where does his confidence come from?? roman?? is that it???? or is it like a combination between roman and logan like an 'im correct and i know im correct and i will let others know im correct too'??? idk i just feel like there's some fairly common emotions not covered by the current six (for example: anger, confidence, happiness- now that i think about it most emotions. i know patton's supposed to be the feelings/emotions dude, but it just doesnt make sense that morality, of all things, would be emotion and not roman or virgil (well virgil would be the panicky ones but you know what i mean right) or a different side.)

like, okay. Which side expresses happiness? Roman? I mean, sort of, I guess, but usually it's directed at patton. he's the happy guy. there was a two-parter on him learning it's okay to be sad. then why is roman all happy and excited during the 'im in a disney show!' and melancholy in the crofters musical??and patton doesn't really do or say anything? roman just seems like the most emotional at times and its strange that patton is the 'feelings' guy instead.
