I smile and thank him, the kind gift well appreciated as I put it on. The traditional nomad prayer beads make me smile. They remind me of Kana...

I wonder how she's doing...

"It's perfect. Thank you, sir."
I bow my head, and Tanjiro picks up the box.

"Oh wow! You weren't kidding! It really is light!"

He walks over to Nezuko, who still shyly hid under the blanket.
"Nezuko, hop in for a ride."

I smile, but feel Urokodaki's gaze locked onto me, and I can already feel he has something important to say... All I pray for is that he doesn't know just yet.

After some hesitation, Nezuko did eventually get in.
"Nezuko, from now on, I promise we'll always be together. You, me, and our sister Y/N."

At the mention of me being their sister, I nearly tear up, the joyful flutter in my heart making me giggle.

He closed the box and put it on, the two of us now finally ready to leave.

Before we left, Urokodaki stopped me, saying he had something private to discuss with me.

I nod and stay behind, his hands holding my shoulders as he looks at me.
"I don't think I'm so old as to not recognize the Avatar."

I'm surprised he guessed, and I tense up, stuttering.
"I-I-"

"I am honored to have trained you, Avatar."
He bows, and I feel a little nervous that he knew.

I

smile, however, grateful he kept it secret.

"...I am honored to have had such a wonderful teacher, Urokodaki, sir."

He pats my shoulders, and I feel the smile widen on my lips. I'm gonna miss this place. I promise I'll come visit again.

We both exit, and before Tanjiro and I have to go, he gives us one final tight hug, and now, we're off.

We wave him goodbye and start our travel, and I feel a pang of sadness.

"I can't believe it..."
I mutter.

"Hm?"
Tanjiro cocks his head, curious.

"Just two years ago I was still in my little village, peacefully living with my baby brother. And now, I'm a Demon Slayer."
I smile, and Tanjiro holds my hand.

"I never thought I'd be here either, but I'm glad we are. It was wonderful meeting you."

"I'm glad I met you too. I would've frozen that night without you and Nezuko finding me."

We both chuckle and keep walking, and I feel at ease. Having these two by my side makes me feel like I'm just a regular person.

We eventually reach the town, and I'm amazed just by how many people there are! I don't even think my village had a quarter!

"A town to the North-West. This must be it."

"Tanjiro, there's so many people here! This town is huge! I don't even think I've ever seen this many people in my life!"
I jump up, supporting myself on the rail of the bridge, staring out.
