Gently, she placed a hand on him, slowly petting his forehead as she glowed again.

"Guess who?"
The boy excitedly laughed, covering his best friend's eyes.

"Hmm... Is it... Kimiko?"
His older friend joked, laughing at the playful flick of his forehead.

"No you idiot, it's me! Do you ever think about anything other than girls?"

He laughed loudly, crossing his arms
"Hey, you've never been in love, Junya! It's the best feeling in the world to think of someone you love so much!"

"Bleh! Stop crushing on my sister, ew."

"Stop being so childish."

"Whatever, Torri."

"...Why didn't you ever tell me? Did I have to find out like this?"
He kept his head low, looking up at the person he once considered his friend.

"Junya, please. I didn't find out any sooner than you-"

"But you knew, didn't you?! You always knew!"

"Please, let me-"

"No! Why did it have to be you?! Why do you get everything while I'm left to drag behind you?!"
He grabbed his collar, slamming him against the wall.

"It's your fault my sister died! If you wouldn't have been so desperate for greatness to try and become a Demon Slayer she'd still be here!"

"Junya. Let go of me."

"Fine! But you know what?! I've had it with you and all your bullshit! I walk out this door, and, Avatar or not, I never want to see you ever again! Because the next time you so much as look at me, I will not hesitate to kill you!"

He stormed off, holding back his sobs as he clenched his fists to the points of his knuckles turning white.

"...You suffered because of me, didn't you?"
She softly whispered, the sorrow filling her as she felt his pain.
Her lips turned into a smile. One of pity and sadness.

"Forgive me, Junya."
Her voice echoed that of a man, making the now fading head cry harder.

"Spirits, help him find peace, may he reunite with the soul of his sister, and rest easy in the afterlife."

1st Person POV

I blacked out... I'm so tired...
My body feels so stiff. Yet somehow, I feel like someone's with me. I feel like crying. This heartbreak... where did it come from?

My eyes flicker open, and I find myself alone on the ground, a simple little butterfly rested on my hand.

I gently move it away and sit up, the sun bathing me in warmth.
I did it... I made it through the first night alive.

Using my sleeve, I wipe my tears and stand up, quickly realizing Tanjiro hadn't found me. I promised Urokodaki we'd come home safe, so now I had to try my best to find him.

Without a moment to spare, I clean myself up and start walking, glancing for any sign of Tanjiro until nightfall.

At night, I fought off as many demons as I had to, running away if I didn't have to kill them.

Only when the first beams of sunlight grazed my skin would I allow myself to collapse under a tree and rest until the night came again.

So far, it's been three days and I've yet to see Tanjiro... I hope he's okay.
