• Bae Suzy as female lead •
In a slightly dim room, a figure could be seen tossing about on a four-poster bed. Now she wasn't tossing because of discomfort, rather, she enjoyed the tranquility of her room and was just getting even more comfortable on her bed.
But after a minute, something dawned on her. It was peaceful... but all of a sudden, this silent peace disturbed her. Wasn't it morning yet? The question arose in her mind and prompted her to open her eyes.
The room was partially dark as a ray of light escaped into the room through a space in her curtains. "Strange," she began as she fumbled for something on her bed. "How is the sun up so early?" She drawled out as she finally found what she was looking for; her phone.
Lazily holding the phone up to her face, she switched it on. While it powered on, she closed her eyes but didn't go back to sleep as she thought to herself. 'Is the sun really up early?' she opened her eyes and looked at the screen with suddenly widened eyes.
She jolted up, saying, "Oh shit! I'm late!" She immediately jumped out of her bed as if it was on fire and made a dash for her bathroom.
Few minutes later, she was out. With a towel wrapped around her body, she hastily used another towel to dry her wet hair as she rummaged through her closet. Within seconds, she found her outfit and went back into the bathroom.
When she came out again, she was dressed and her dark brown hair was dry... well, as dry as she could get it in a few seconds. She brushed it nonetheless and put on a simple sunhat. With that done, she picked up her phone along with her bag and after putting on a pair of sneakers, she walked out of her room.
On entering the living room, she quickly made a turn towards the kitchen. Sitting by the dining table, while idly looking at her phone, was her best friend.
On realizing she had entered the kitchen, the beautiful Filipino said to her, "Well, someone's up early." She dropped her phone and picked up her cup of tea just as her friend gave her a glare, "Haha, very funny. Kimberly, why didn't you wake me up?"
Kimberly shrugged as she took a sip then replied, "I figured you were comfortable. Don't blame me for your Monday morning laziness."
The girl merely shook her head, "You're such a great friend." She replied sarcastically as she began to prepare a cup of tea.
"I know. That's why this great friend here helped out to prepare her baby star's favorite morning cappuccino because I knew she would be too late to do so." Kimberly said, pointing towards a counter where there was a black sakura Starbucks cup filled with cappuccino next to a pack which contained a few toasts.
The girl's eyes shone in delight as she immediately went to hug her best friend. "Oh, Kimmy. You're really the greatest. Your baby star loves you." She gave her a few kisses on her cheek and went towards the packaged breakfast. Taking one toast out, she put the pack into her bag and held the cup.
"Busy schedule today?" Kimberly asked the very serious munching girl who shook her head to the question.
"Nope." She answered after swallowing, "Not until later but you know how he is. He's going to make an issue just so he can scold me." She took another bite.
"Right. But you still don't learn, do you?" Kimberly looked at her while arching her right brow upwards.
Swallowing, she answered, "Nope. Like you said, I have Monday morning laziness." And thus was defense. She glanced at the wall clock and realized there wasn't much time left. "Alright, I'm off. See you later, Kimmy."
"Have a great day, bae." Kimberly replied as her best friend waved with a smile and walked out the door.
The young girl, who was about the age of 22 walked out of the apartment and went on her way towards the bus stop.
She didn't have a car so her only way of mobile movement was public transport. Now for one who claimed she was late, she seemed to be in no real hurry. Knowing her schedule, she could see no reason to hurry. She knew very well she would get scolded but remembering how well she was able to handle the scold, she wasn't in a haste.
Currently, she had boarded a bus and was happily munching away on her toasts while enjoying her favorite cappuccino.
After a while, the bus stopped at her destination and she got off. With her cup in her hand, she strode down a particular street until she came across a building. Not just any building, it was the luxurious seven-star hotel; Château de Parfait.
And it just so happened to be where our young missy was headed. On her way in, she greeted the doorman of the hotel, "Bonjour, Monsieur Simeon."
"Bonjour, Ms. Mercedes. Bienvenue." Simeon greeted back as she walked past the electronic glass doors and entered the hotel.
This famous hotel wasn't just a building, it was more or less like a mini estate which had all the luxuries of retaining the position of a seven star hotel. It had 200 rooms in total and they were grouped into three; 70 deluxe suites, 70 super deluxe suites and 60 presidential suites. Each group of suites had their respective buildings which were merged together and made to seem like it was a semi circle. And in the middle of this semi circle, was the hotel's outdoor pool. Each building had four floors as not only the suites occupied all floors but also, other facilities which added to the hotel's luxuriousness. There were 5 restaurants, 3 movie theaters, 1 performance theater, 4 casinos, a large gym, a grand events hall, multiple spas and a large golf course and a tennis court could be found behind the buildings.
Currently, our young missy was at the 'greeting building ' which was a three floor building on its own. It was the first building you'd notice; it was more or less the administrative part of the hotel as the hotel's management staff had their offices in this building. The head kitchen was found here as well; cooking took place here before they were delivered to the restaurants or home services.
Outside, two gates were by the sides of the first building which led into the hotel's parking lot. Both gates were guarded by security and likewise the entrance of the hotel.
This world famous hotel played an important role in our young missy's life as she was quite familiar with it. Having worked as a receptionist then secretary at the branch back at Korea, she was currently this branch's catering manager and special events planner.
And just like she was popularly known back at Korea for her amazing skills, America wasn't any different.
As she passed the receptionist counter, the young employee greeted with a smile, "Hello, miss Twinkle."
Our young miss, Twinkle, returned the greeting with smiling eyes, "Hello, Dora." Going straight ahead then making a turn by the right, she approached a door. Next to the door was a counter where a girl could be seen on talking on the phone. On seeing her coming, the girl, though still attending to the call, opened up a book for her to sign. As per the usual instructions, she signed and after getting her staff badge, she smiled as a way of saying thanks. Holding up her badge to a scanner, the electronic door opened up for her to enter.
All this safety precautions were necessary as the room she was entering was the head kitchen after all. A small empty space was what one saw first which was occupied with a few faucets and a basket of dry towels.
Twinkle washed her hands and after drying them, she walked passed a curtain and finally entered the main kitchen. This space was vast and was filled with multiple staffs. Some were attending to the washing of food items, others were cooking, some could even be found serving before arranging orders meant to be taken to the hotel's restaurants.
Now if there was anything that caused the popularity of this hotel, it was their efficient services and also due to Twinkle's incredible skills in event planning, their popularity sky-rocketed.
On being noticed, she was immediately greeted by all staffs. And she returned each greeting with a smile. While requesting for an order of muffins, she also went about her job as catering manager. Discussing with the chefs as well as the serving staffs, she could get intel on how things were going. Sometimes, she even helped out in cooking and serving but at the moment, she didn't have the time to do so. And so with a box of freshly baked muffins, she walked out the kitchen's back door and made her way towards the suites' department.
