"Shhh," he shushed her. "It's...fine."

She shook her head. "No, it's not fine. Look at how you are. I could have prevented that." Just the thought of her made her eyes water. "I could have prevented that," she repeated, but quieter.

"Luce," he said as he tried to sit up, but failed as she prevented him. Yeah, he's in pain but they're treating him like he's going to die. "You did what you were able to do." He was quite pleased he was able to say a full sentence without any problems. "Don't beat yourself up for it." He moved over a bit so he left enough room for her on the edge. "Come on."

She sighed as she got up and sat on the space that was provided for her. She wiped her eyes a bit with the back of her hand but of course, that resulted in the tears being spread all around her eyes. Eh, they'll dry, she thought to herself.

"I have...one very important question to ask," he said as he looked at her.

"And what is that?"

For dramatic effect, he didn't say anything. After a moment, he asked, "Do I...look as pretty as I feel?"

She didn't say anything as she looked at him. She couldn't help but smile and let out a small laugh. "If America's Next Top Model was still a thing, you would definitely win."

He snorted. "America's Next Top Model? Seriously?" He shook his head. "I prefer the World's Next Top Model, but okay."

She laughed. "Cute."

"Cute? I felt the need to ask and say something and all I get is 'cute?'"

"You're adorkable. Is that better?"

He sighed dramatically...or at least tried to. "I guess that's fine." He winked at her.

Those lines have been said before and she knew he remembered it. She looked down at the ground as she smiled before she looked back at him. She looked at him--examined him--and she couldn't help but shake her head. "You shouldn't have gone after him."

"Had to," he mumbled.

"I'll kill him," she said, anger flaring up inside her. "I'll kill him."

He started to chuckle. "Ah...there she is. There's Lucinda Rome."

"I'll get us out of here this time. All of us; us five. I'll talk to Clancy-"

"Don't you dare," he told her in a stern voice. "You will make things worse. I get it, you're a Purple and with Luke, you'll be the most powerful duo."

She bit the inside of her cheek, an obvious habit of hers. "You're right," she mumbled.

It was quiet between them for a while until Liam spoke up, "Do you remember the night we met?"

She snorted. "The night? You mean the day? It was night when you broke us out, but we officially met during the day."

He groaned. "Maybe one of those punches messed up my head."

She laughed. "Maybe?" She shook her head. "I think it was more than one of those punches...not to brag about him." She made a face that showed her dislike of him.

"God." He shook his head and licked his lips before he smiled. "Did you know...you make me so happy that sometimes I actually forget to breathe? I'll be looking at you, and my chest will get so tight...and it's like, the only thought in my head is how much I want to reach over and kiss you."

"Oh?" She put a lock of hair behind her ear as she leaned over him a bit. "And what's stopping you from doing so?"

He sighed. "You forcing me to stay down."

"Maybe it should be like that sometimes." She smirked.

He cleared his throat. "Umm, excuse me?"

His reaction caused her to laugh, but that quieted when something could be heard. They looked at each other, both sharing a confused look on their faces.

"You...you hear that, right?" She asked him.

"Yeah," he said as he tried to sit up, this time she was helping him in doing so.

Luke came in and not even a second later, Chubs, Ruby, and Mike came in out of breath. They looked like they ran a marathon and broke a record while doing so.

"What's going on?" Luce asked as she stood up.

"We need to leave," Luke said automatically. "Right now."

They all looked at each other before Liam was helped up and they all went outside. They heard helicopters and saw them in the sky as they were zooming in fast. The six saw what was going on in front of them as they tried to make their way to freedom. They saw people going down the ropes from the flying helicopters. They saw people from their cabins run out and scream.

When the people landed on the ground, their faces were revealed as some sort of coverage was removed. They looked up at everyone, their eyes glowing red and their faces already burning and exposing their true colors.

"Reds!" One yelled before the Reds breathed out fire.
