"Good morning, Sweetie. Up 'til midnight? I see" Blair mom stated as she walks through their dining.
"Morning, Mom" Blair greeted and yawned. "It's the middle of the summer. I just finished the book you bought last week. The story made me want to see unicorn in-person" Blair grabbed a slice of bread and stuffed with too much cheese. Blair salivated as she even out the cheese.
"You're already 18. You're already an adult--"
"Nope, 18 still considered as teen, same as 19. Wait when I reach 20 and you can finally call me an adult" Blair answered and showed her perfect set of teeth when she smiled.
"Let her do what she wants, Hon. After all, it's summer" Her dad agreed with her that earned a glare from her mom.
"Thanks, Dad" Her mom just sighed.
"Since it's summer, why not go out and roam around the subdivision. It's almost a month and all you did is locked yourself to your room and do your business. Sweetie, you need sunlight. Use your bicycle" Blair ended up agreeing.
Blair made her way out of garage and bike as fast as she could to reach the park of the subdivision. They lived in a subdivision but they don't considered themselves as rich.
"Uy, Blair!" One of her classmate shouted. Tumango na lamang siya dahil hindi niya naman ito kaclose.
It's the mids of summer and all she wanna do is read books. Mahilig siyang magbasa pero ayaw na ayaw niya ang mga librong patungkol sa academic. She just want to read fairytales.
Blair watched when the kids at the park were playing. She reminisced her past with Lilia, her playmate and best friend. Lilia was long gone when they were younger. Lumipat ang pamilya nito ng tirahan kaya naputol ang komunikasyon ng dalawa. She missed her best friend. Mula ng mawala si Lilia, wala na siyang naging kaibigan. Friends? Meron siya non. Pero yung kaibigan na makausap, makasama at laging nandyan sa iyo ay wala siya.
"Ahhh!"
Blair went back to her senses when she heard a loud scream. It's from the woods, at the back of the park. She also noticed na wala na palang tao sa park dahil medyo mainit na rin kasi. She realized na medyo matagal na pala siyang nagmumunimuni.
Kaagad niyang pinuntahan ang pinanggalingan ng sigaw. Wala masyadong dumadayo sa likod na parte ng park dahil sa malagubat nitong itsura, kinakatakutan dito dahil tila may mga ahas sa sobrang daming halaman at tataas ng mga puno.
Nagulat si Blair sa kanyang naabutan. A girl was lift with just a hand by an ugly creature.
