Ricky slowly walked up to the parking lot after reading Nini's texts and saw her leaning against her car, smiling at something on her phone.
She looked up as she heard footsteps walking up towards her and a confused Ricky staring at her dead in the eye.
"Well hello to you too," she said, taking a step forward to give him a hug, "how was your day bubs?"
He tried to remain stiff but he gave in after 2 seconds and hugged her back. He just couldn't help but wrap his arms around her warm tiny body.
"Uh, it was okay..." he replied slowly. "What's going on?"
She pulled away from the hug and looked up at his eyes, stifling a laugh at his worrisome looking face, "Nothing..."
"So why did we have to meet at the parking lot?" He looked around, "Wait, where is everyone?"
"Huh, I guess they all left," she responded, shrugging her shoulders, "ready to go?"
"Go where...?"
"To the diner silly. It's diner day!"
"But diner day is you and your friends' day."
"Yea, but we're dating now so you have to come."
He let out a sigh, "Ok, fine, let's go."
He made his way over to the passenger side of the car and placed his backpack in the back seat before getting in the front. As he sat down, he looked towards Nini who was smiling widely at him.
