When I woke up the next morning Max was still sleeping. I cleaned up all of my stuff and set it outside the tent. By time I was done Max was awake and I helped him clean the tent out and take it down. We packed it away into the shed before going into the house to have a bowl of cereal.

"Sky, did you want to go with us to visit my grandparents?" Max asked when we were done eating.

"No thanks, I need to get home so I can do my laundry and stuff." I said rinsing my bowl and placing it in the dishwasher.

"Okay, well I guess I will see you tomorrow or something if not Monday." Max said walking with me to the front door.

"See you, thanks for allowing me to camp out with you." I said waving as I walked down the sidewalk to my house.

I really didn't want to go home but I had shit to do. Xavier and Zander were out side shooting hoops in their drive way. I waved as I passed but I don't think they noticed. I was relieved not to see any cars in the driveway at my house. I walked in and the house was trashed, nothing new for this house but that meant I had more cleaning to do than I thought. I knew I didn't have time to get it all cleaned up before they got home so I did the smaller things first, dishes taking out the trash and picking up all the broken dishes. I hurried up to my room and grabbed all of my dirty clothes and some towels and headed for the basement to throw them in the washer. I worked on some of the bigger messes in the house like empty beer and whiskey bottles until the washer was finished. If my parents were working they would be home in about an hour or so depending if they went to the bar after work or not so I needed to finish cleaning, shower and eat in about an hour.

It was five p.m. and my parent were still gone. The house was clean I had stashed enough food in my room for a week, my clothes were all washed and I was clean. My dad was the first one home and as soon as I heard the car pull into the drive I ran up to the attic and locked the door. I could hear him stumbling around downstairs but I was not brave enough to go down and see what kind of mood he was in. Around ten my mom stumbled in and the fighting started. I packed a bag and set it out on the roof in case I needed to get out of here in a hurry. I placed my IPod and cellphone charge so I would have full batteries and hoped on my laptop.

The fighting died down around two and I think they both finally passed out. I let out a huge sigh before climbing into my own bed and going to sleep.

Sunday I hid in my room because neither one of them normally went anywhere on Sunday. My dad might go shopping or something but most of the time they would sit in the house and drink themselves into a coma. I surfed the Internet, read and listened to music keeping myself from going crazy.

When there was a knock on my door around nine that night I freaked out. It was my dad and he sounded pissed. I laid in my bed and tried to control my heart rate and breathing. He wasn't knocking or yelling really loud so I could play it off like I was a sleep. As long as he didn't get louder I could just pretend I didn't hear him. After about ten minutes he gave up and went back down stairs and the yelling started back up. Part of me wanted to get the hell out of here but the other part didn't want to move. I must have fallen asleep while I was debating because the next thing I knew my alarm was going off and it was time to get ready for school.

I hurried to get ready and then had to wait for both parents to leave so I could go down stairs and wait for Max. His parents bought him a car when he turned 16 so he did all the driving for us since my parent won't even help me get a permit.

"Good Morning, Max." I said hopping into the passenger seat of his car.

"Morning" He said before taking off.

"How was your weekend?" I asked.

"Great, my parents are going away next weekend so if you want you can come and stay with me. They said it was okay plus they would give us money for pizza and stuff." He said as we rode to school.

"That sounds like fun." I said. Max and his parent all knew what my home life was like and I think that is why they never mind me being at their house.

"I talked with Zander yesterday." He said.

"REALLY" I yelled.

"Yeah, they heard your parents going at it and he was checking on you, I guess his mom thought you were at my house still." He said making me frown.

"I wish my house was sound proof." I said letting out a sigh.

"I know it bothers you but we only have a couple more months before schools out and you can go." He said smiling at me.

"I can't fucking wait." I said looking out the window.

"Do you work tonight?" he asked.

"Yeah, I work every night this week but I am off again for the weekend." I said. I work at the corner store were they sell all the shit for twice the price because it is the only store with in twenty or so miles. But it was the only place I could work and know that neither parent would dare come in.

"Okay, did you need me to drop you off?" He asked.

"No that is okay, I can walk it's only a block besides don't you have band practice tonight?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I forgot thanks for reminding me." He said laughing. We pulled into the student parking lot and I did a quick scan to see who was all out in the area so I knew which way to go. Ugh... Nic Rodgers and his crew were by the door closest to my locker and Steven Hughes was by the other one so I needed to run half way around the building to get in and not be beaten down.

"Okay, well I have to run." I said laughing. He knew what I had to go through so he understood and I wouldn't let him help me so that he would become a target.

"Be careful, see you at lunch." He said with a frown.

I got out of the car and made my way around the building and inside without being seen. I did a quick look around and took off running to my locker so I could grab my things and head to my homeroom class before being seen. With a quick dial of my combo I gathered my shit and throw my bag in before slamming the door shut and hauling ass to my homeroom.

When I sat in my seat I allowed myself to breath normal again. I could only breath normal in this class. In every class after this I have at least one of my bullies in it. In this class I have Xavier in this class even though he sits in the back it is still nice to have him in this class. I have a crush on Zander but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy looking at his brother, I mean they are identical.

Once attendance was taken Ms. Hiles lets us sit and talk as long as we are quiet. I like to read during this time so I got my book and opened it to where I had left off the night before. I could feel someones eyes on me but I didn't want to look up and start looking around so I peeked up from my book and looked around and then looked up at the clock. Why they hell is Xavier staring at me? I pulled my IPod out and looked to make sure I didn't have anything on my face or in my hair. Yes I am vain like that. I may be a boy gay boy but I like to look good. I found nothing wrong with me so I went back to reading but I could still feel my skin burning from him looking at me but I didn't look.

Come on bell ring, I can't take this any more. Now I know how some people felt when I stared at them. I just wanted to know why. I mean I don't plan on telling anyone about them coming over and sitting at the camp fire with us. I wouldn't do that to them. I know they wouldn't want people knowing they hung out with the faa... okay I can't even thing that word so I know people would make fun of them for hanging with the gay kid. Fuck bell ring. I took another look at the clock, two minutes to go so I folded the corner of the page I was trying to read and organized my books. I don't think Xavier was still looking at me because the sensation of my skin crawling had stopped.

Fucking finally, time to run for my first hour, see ya bitches.
