In my dream - 3

They had done the first few scenes without any hiccups. Rowoon was doing very well, even Sohyun was surprised by his performance.

Now they moved onto the next scene. Sohyun was playing an impulsive detective who's chasing after a gang member and Rowoon was her partner.

Sohyun ran to the middle of the stage and stopped by Rowoon. "Detective Kim, we should wait for back up."

"Wait? They are going to destroy all the evidence. We have to go in right now." Sohyun tried to shake off Rowoon's hand but he held onto her tighter.

"We are out numbered, and they probably have guns as well. I am not sending you off to die!"

Sohyun acted mad and said. "You can wait here all you want, but I am going in." She managed to shake off Rowoon's hand and started running.

Rowoon stepped in front of her and blocked her way. As he turned around to face Sohyun, he stepped on one of the wires typed on the floor and lost his balance, he was falling on his back.

Sohyun took his hand and tried to pull him up as he fell, but he was too heavy and she ended up being pulled down instead.

"Ahhh...."

Rowoon fell on his back and landed hard. Sohyun was pulled and fell onto his chest.  Sohyun managed to held onto Rowoon's shoulder so she wouldn't fall further.

She pushed herself up from his chest, and as soon as she lifted her head, she bumped into Rowoon's chin.

"Ahhhh...."

"Oh....I am sorry."  Sohyun cupped Rowoon's cheek and asked.  "Are you okay?"

Rowoon couldn't answer Sohyun, her face was just inches away from him.  He can clearly se the fine lines on her lips, and the way her lips moved while she talked stole his soul away.  He swallowed and stuttered some words out of his mouth.  "Ar.....ummm......you are....on top....."

"Oh."  Sohyun almost forgot that she was on top of him.  She pushed herself up in a hurry without looking, and her hand slipped off from Rowoon's shoulder.  She fell once again and just like that their lips crashed together.

They froze and looked at each other, didn't know what to do. Everything happened so fast and they were in shock. Five seconds had gone by, Rowoon finally blinked. Sohyun slapped back and pushed herself up. She sat beside Rowoon and turned her back on him. Her cheeks turned red and her ears were burning after she came back to her sense.

What had just happened? Did she just lost her first kiss to her best friend? And what was this overwhelming emotion she had now? Was it anger or was it something else? She placed her hands on her chest, trying to suppress her pounding heartbeat.

"I.....I am sorry bear, it was an accident." Rowoon said from behind.

She knew it was an accident, but why did she feel hurt when she heard it from him. What did she expect him to say?

Sohyun stood up and fixed her clothes. She turned her head slightly, not ready to face Rowoon yet. " Yea, it's fine......umm. It's getting late, you should go home and do the project.....I will see you tomorrow." She ran off without looking back at him.

Sohyun opened her eyes, she pressed her fingers on her lips. It was a dream. It was their first kiss. She should have known better. It was the same emotion she had when he kissed her again last night. Now she knew she had feelings for him even back then.

Sohyun felt relieved, she finally knew what had been bothering her all this time, she was in love with her best friend.

She got off the bed and washed up in the bathroom. As she was applying moisturizer on her neck, she found a hickey on the exact same spot as last time. She touched the hickey with her hand and paused. Was it him? Or was it a coincidence? Sohyun tightened her lips as she revisited her memory of that night. What if he was her baby's daddy? She cupped her burning cheeks with hands. She looked at the mirror and felt embarrassed. She was behaving like a sixteen years old who had never been kissed.

Sohyun shook off her thoughts and got dressed. She carefully covered her hickey with a scarf before she went down to the kitchen.

"Good morning, bear!" Rowoon smiled at her in the sweetest way. Sohyun turned her head to the side. "Oh my god, he looks like a perfect husband." She thought to herself. How could she not seen that before.

"Morning noodle.  How are you doing?"

"I am feeling much better today.  Let me get some cereal for us."

As Sohyun approached the kitchen, she could smell her favorite cookie. Was it for her? Was it about last night? Why would he make her cookie? Did he regretted it? Sohyun bit her lips as she imagined the worst.

"What are you apologizing for?" Sohyun couldn't help but asked.

"Me?" Rowoon pointed at himself, looking confused. "Did I do something wrong? I remember being home and then I fell asleep right the way.  Did something happened?"

He didn't remember! Sohyun touched her scarf and shook her head.  "Nothing, just wonder why you are baking cookies."

"Oh....this is for Hyeri, she liked it, so I promised to make her some."

"Oh.....I see." Sohyun pursed her lips.  So Hyeri got it because she liked it and she got it only when she was mad at him.

Rowoon sensed the annoyance in her tone and asked playfully "Why? Are you jealous?"

Sohyun frowned.  Was she jealous?  She shook her head again.  "Why would I be?"

Rowoon giggled and said "I will make you something new next time, okay?"

Sohyun noticed that Rowoon placed his hand on her waist while he tried to comfort her.  He must have done this a thousand times before, but she was being super sensitive to his touch right now, she couldn't help but to look at where his hand landed.

"What's your plan for today?" Rowoon took his hand off Sohyun and started making coffee for her.

Sohyun hesitated a little before she answered "ummm ....Hyeri will come to my boutique to try on my new clothes lines, she promised to help with modelling." She poured the cereals into the bowls of milk for Rowoon and herself.

Rowoon paused, he knew he had to be there to make sure Hyeri wouldn't spill the beans.  "Why don't I go with you then, I need to give the cookie to Hyeri and then we can have lunch together."

Sohyun looked at him in surprise.  What's with his sudden interest in Hyeri?  She was feeling uneasy about Rowoon's attitude, but she had no excuse to say no to him. "It may take us a while though, if you are willing to wait for us."

"Ya, sure.  I have got all day to wait."
