Enya wrung out her soaking hair as she stepped out of the shower, a towel wrapped around her. Sighing as she wiped down the mirror to get rid of the condensation that settled, her own sun-kissed face stared back at her. Closing her eyes, she leant back against the cold tiles of the bathroom wall.

"Idiot." She mumbled to herself, blaming herself for losing it in front of everyone, of letting Carli get to her. Feeling the familiar tug of anger and the heat of a flame on her hand she closed it into a fist, snuffing out the flame as she counted down from 10 until the anger died down again.

She sighed again, hitting her head lightly against the wall, before standing up properly and facing her reflection. "Breathe you idiot. Keep it together." She mumbled to herself, before walking out of the bathroom and into her bedroom.

After pulling on black yoga pants and a vest she looked at the mirror on her wall. The girl looking back at her was small, wet red hair falling down around the face that looked far too much like her mothers. Rolling her eyes, she turned away and pulled her hair up into a messy bun, revealing the marking of her Element on the nape of her neck. The flames of the marking licked at the loose tendrils that escaped the messy bun, red meeting red. She ran a hand over the mark before grabbing a loose, knitted turtleneck jumper and slipping it over her vest.

A knock sounded at the door, and Cassie's head popped in, before she stepped into the room, wearing flowery pyjamas. "Hi, sweetie. Thought I'd check in on you. How're you doing?" She wandered over to where Enya had flopped on the bed and sat down.

Enya merely groaned into a pillow, not wanting to raise her head.

"It's ok you know. No one's actually angry. Well Rory might be, but that's only because he wasn't allowed to help beat up Carli." Cassie smiled as Enya raised her head and rolled onto her side to look at her.

"I was an idiot."

"Yeah," Cassie nodded but smiled warmly. "But that's ok. We all are at times." She brushed some of Enya's hair into place. "And hey, your suspension ends today since it's Friday anyway so it could be worse. You didn't use your powers for 3 months and that's pretty impressive, not everyone would have been able to stick to that suspension. Well, apart from to burn Jamie but he kind of deserved it."

"Did you just say that someone deserves to be hurt?" Enya raised one eyebrow in suspicion, looking up at Cassie's face. "Miss 'I believe everyone has good in them; you just have to look to see it'. You who believe there are no bad people?"

"Yes. He just needed a bit of a kick up the arse to be better. And I don't think it worked if I'm honest." Enya looked at her curiously and Cassie continued. "He...has this look when he looks at certain people."

"Certain people?"

"Yeah, certain people who are like me, or like Zap."

Enya waited for her to continue, starting to see where it was going.

"He just looks like he smells something bad. And he only does it when he sees certain people."

"Like you and like Zap."

"And that new boy Donovan." Enya scrunched up her face in confusion and Cassie rolled her eyes. "Right, I forget you try not to notice people. There are two new kids today and Jamie doesn't like the guy."

"Ok, is this in the same way don't like as with people like you and Zap?"

"Yeah." Cassie looked at Enya imploringly, hoping that she knew what she was trying to say. The silence stretched for a good minute, growing heavier by the second.
