"Are you that cheap?" His question hit her the moment she walks in.

She looks up at him. It looks like her prayer wasn't answered. But why the hell did he ask such a question?

"What?" She asked calmly.

She seriously doesn't want to argue with Demilade. Something that had become a habit for them.

"You heard me clearly. What the hell were you doing with those men? First on the balcony. And then in the lobby... "

She quickly cut him short. "What's the meaning of this Demilade? Why are you unleashing your anger on me? I ask you what was wrong but you didn't answer me. And what's with the guys? What do you mean?"

Demilade scoff. "What's with the men? Really? So you are so cheap. You didn't even find it insulting. What do you think my friends will think of me? That I have a cheap girlfriend. A gold digger that moves from one man to the other. I don't know you were so little. Maybe that is why you had agreed to the deal at first. Because you were cheap."

He was suddenly cut short when he felt a hand on the left side of his face. And he looks down at Lola.

Lola slapped him hard on his face using all the force in her. It's the first time she is hitting a guy in the face. She didn't expect to do that but she can't control the anger that had built up inside her. How dare he accuse of such things! That was too much. And it was causing her to burn with anger.

"Are you crazy? How dare you talk to me that way? You know more than anything why I agreed to this stupid deal. And it doesn't give you the right to say horrible words to me. I am not a slut and I am not cheap. I might be too friendly but don't take it the other way around. So it is a crime to talk with other men. You and I both know that I am not your real girlfriend. Your friends were busy kissing each other in public and all around them were people performing head and cunnilingus. If it is nothing to you, it is to me. You don't expect me to sit down there comfortably like some fool. I wasn't trained that way. So don't you ever talk to me like that again. I have my own dignity. I never asked for anything more than your respect. Maybe that is why you never have any woman in your life. Because of your stupid and horrible attitude. If you are so proud of yourself, I think it is high time we called this deal over. I will leave your damn house tomorrow. " She said angrily with tears pouring down her eyes.

She hates to cry because it makes her feel weak. But Demilade words were insulting and it hurt her.

And she turns around and walks away to her room closing the door behind her. She fell in front of the door and begin to weep.

It hurt so much to hear him say that about her. He uses her desperation for money to insult her. He even sees her as a prostitute.

That had been what he had been holding in. She realized that was why he had started acting strange after they left the balcony. And the way he stare at her when he met her talking with the two guys in the lobby.

They had only asked her a question and she had politely answered them. And they engaged in a conversation about the picture they show her while waiting for Demilade and his friends.

But he had to take it the other way around. He saw her as a prostitute. An easy thing.

It hurt her feelings and her pride. What hurt the most was he believed she was cheap and would do anything for money.

§§§§§

Demilade collapse on the chair. And he places his hand on his head. He suddenly hates himself for the first time in a long time. He don't know why he had said those words to Lola.

He did not mean it to be so awful. He knows and he admitted that they were bad. It wasn't a good thing to say to her.

He had been holding the anger inside him since he saw Lola with the man on the balcony of the hotel. He wasn't supposed to care but he will be lying if he said he wasn't affected. Something shifted inside him when he saw them. And he couldn't help the jealousy that consume him.

And worst, he have to meet her talking with two other guys who were flirting with her in the lobby. And his friends had to see that.

It hurt his pride as a man. And he felt jealous.

He doesn't have any reason to be jealous. Neither does he need to, just like she said but he can't help the feeling that was building up inside him.

           He felt useless and unworthy.

The same feeling he felt when Yimika left.

But he didn't have to let his anger take control of him. He knows he needs to apologize to Lola. Even if she still insisted on leaving and ending the deal, he still ought to apologise to her. She deserves that from him.

He later went up to his room. But he couldn't sleep despite it was already late at night. The guilt was eating him up.

Another chapter.

I know you hate Demilade right now. But please understand him. He is just angry when he said those words and even if he won't admit it, he was jealous.
