I never see you anymore.

Start from the beginning

"Are you alright? You seem a little distracted." I inwardly sighed. "It's just I really want this to be as perfect as possible." I half lied. I did want this collection to come out perfectly but my thoughts couldn't help but revolve around Harry.

We hadn't spoken since that night, it wasn't too difficult to avoid each other because I was never home before 11 pm.

I missed him, but my career was important to me, what he said had really upset me and I hoped with everything in me that he didn't mean it.

Today was his birthday and it was also the day that I was flying back to LA. I figured that he wouldn't care if I was there or not but that didn't ease my guilt for not being there anyway.

There was nothing I could do anyway since I was landing at 10pm tonight and he'd probably be out or at his own party. Either way I didn't want this fight to go on any longer, so whatever happened, I just wanted it to be over.

When I walked through the door, all the lights were off and it was dead silent. I turned on the kitchen lights, getting myself a glass of water before I went upstairs to bed.

As soon as I got into Harry and I's bedroom, I went straight to the bathroom to take a shower, I needed to get all the airplane feels off of me before I went to bed.

I grabbed my shirt and a pair of underwear before making my way to bed.

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest when I was met with my boyfriend sitting up against the headboard with his hair disheveled, I must not have noticed him sleeping when I came in.

"Harry? What are you doing here?" I let my hair down and walked over to stand on my side of the bed. "Where else would I be at this time of the night apart from at home and in bed?"

"Well... it's your birthday, shouldn't you be out or having a party or something?" He looked away from me.

"Didn't feel right to have one without you." He mumbled, like he didn't want me to hear it.

I sighed, softly sinking down on the mattress. "H, I'm sorry about what happened. You were right when you said that we should always find the time to be together, I promise I'll be making more of an effort." I reached for his hand, his head snapping to where I was touching him.

"No baby, I'm sorry. This is your job, you're always so supportive and understanding of me when I have to go away. It's not fair of me to ask to put your career on hold just for me. I was out of line. I'm so sorry." He pulled on my hand, motioning for me to move to his lap.

"I love you y/n." I smiled when I felt his fingers moving back and forth on my cheek. "I love you too."

He hugged my body close as we exchanged a sweet kiss. "Oh," I pulled back from the kiss, Harry whining at the lack of contact, "stop complaining for a second! I got something done." I raised my eyebrows suggestively.

He frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?" "I got a tattoo." I grinned.
His eyes widened. "What?! But baby you told me I could come with you the first time you'd get that done." He whined.

"I know you really wanted to but I wanted this to be a surprise. Now do you want to see it or not?" I giggled.

"Fine." He rolled his eyes. He reached over to switch on the lamp by his side of the bed as I pulled my shirt up to reveal the tattoo I had gotten on the side of my chest.

The ink read 'HS' in a bold font. Harry's eyes softened as he ran his thumb over my skin, a gigantic grin spreading on his face.

"I know it's really small but I thought it'd be a nice birthday present. Do you like it?" I bit my lip, anxious that he would hate it.

"Sweetheart I love it, I can't believe you'd do that just for me." He murmured. "Of course I would, it's you."

He shook his head, bending forward to press a kiss to my tattoo then to my lips.

"Happy birthday my love."
