I never see you anymore.

[You work late and he feels like you don't have any time for him.]

Lately work has been more demanding on my part. The new fall collection was in the works which meant late nights and early mornings, an insane amount of coffee and no time off. I love my job and it has its pros and cons like every profession.

Harry had tried to be understanding for a while but for the past few days, my presence, or the lack of, hadn't gone unnoticed. Therefore, things got just a little bit out of hand when I walked through the door about three seconds ago.

"Oh hey look at that! You do remember where we live." I sighed, locking the door behind me. "You're mad." I stated.

"You bet I am!" He exclaimed. "Y/n, I know things have been hectic at work and what not but I don't even feel like I have a girlfriend anymore. You're never home when I get here, when I come down to see you, you're always busy and we've barely had a proper conversation in weeks."

"I know Harry, I know but I don't know what you want me to say. This is my job, I work really hard for it. I'm sorry. I know we haven't exactly been spending time together lately but this is how it has to be for a while. It's just like when you go on tour or you're writing a new album. It sucks that your break had to be at the same time as my new collection needed to be designed but it is what it is! We're just going to have to make it work." I explained.

"Did you really just say, 'it is what it is'? This is it? You want to keep going like this? Y/n I want you. Don't you get that? I want my girl back!" Hearing him talk like that made my heart melt.

I walked over to him, taking his hands in mine. "Baby, I want you too. I'm always gonna want you. But for now this is how it has to be, every spare moment I have, I promise to give to you but there's not much else that I can do besides that. Please try to understand."

He shook his head, pulling his hands away from mine. "Y/n, I love you. I do. But what good is it if I can't show that to you? We have to be available to each other, always. Especially considering how hectic our lives can get. You have to meet me halfway here." He pleaded.

"Harry, this relationship means everything to me and you know that. But i'm not the one who has to meet you halfway right now. This is what I go through every time you're busy with work, but I don't blame you for it because I love you and it's what you have to do, I-"

"Did you really just throw work in my face? Touring is a part of my job y/n!"
I scoffed, "Late nights are a part of mine! How come I have to be understanding of your absence and you can't do it for me huh? How is that fair? No you know what, I don't even want to hear it. Just leave me alone!"

I pushed past him, running up the stairs to our bedroom. I heard the sound of glass shatter downstairs and slid down against the door, desperately trying to keep my sobs in. Harry and I had fought before, but it had never been this bad. As much as I wanted to fix things, I wouldn't even know what to say.

I had to get my focus on my trip to Italy next week to look over new fabric samples. I guess this would just have to wait.

"Okay see, I think this pastel would fit the coat idea you showed me a couple weeks ago, what do you think?" I hummed, deciding to put it down as an option.
