"Nowhere." He replied casually.

"What do you mean nowhere?"

"Nowhere means nowhere." He shrugged.

"Care to explain?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Look Prachi, the deal was to spend the evening with you, right? So we can do that in the car as well. Ever heard of the term long drive?" He replied in a serious tone.

"Okay." Prachi merely said, turning her head towards the window once again. He was right. The deal was just to spend time with her in the evening. And though she had always been a lover of long drives, she felt a sudden dejection in her heart for she had expected him to surprise her with something unique as usual when he had asked for her evening to repent for his two day ignorance.

She heard him giggle once.

"What's so funny?" She asked, innocently.

"You're so sweet, yaar! You believe anything!" Said Ranbir, reaching for her cheek with his one hand while his other hand controlled the steering wheel. However, Prachi jerked his hand before he could pull her cheeks like he did everytime he said that.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, my sweet, innocent, Prachi, that I was kidding! Of course I have something in my mind! Unique as usual." He winked at her at the last phrase.

'How did he know what I was thinking?!'

"Telepathy." Ranbir shrugged casually.
"Huh?" 'Again?!'

"I've learnt the art of telepathy you know. Two years ago, while I was in my hostel. My favourite teacher helped me learn it before retiring, since I loved it a lot."

"Really?"

"No." He chuckled, causing her to roll her eyes at him.

"I know I'm really good at cooking." He said, staring straight ahead at the road.

"Cooking?" She asked in confusion.

"Yeah. I cook up pretty good stories. My teacher told me that once." Ranbir explained.

"Before retiring?" She teased.

"No, really! She came to me and told me that I had a really creative mind!"

"Well then, are you sure it was a compliment?" She smirked.

"Of course it was!" He seemed confident. "She was the same teacher whom I had a crush on and I was literally on cloud twelve!"

"Nine." She corrected.

"What?" He asked, bemused.

"You were on cloud nine. Not twelve." She explained.

"How do you know?! Were you with me? I know I was on twelve!" He defended himself, making her shake her head in disbelief.

"Baklu!"

"Did you say something?"

"Nope. Well, you would know anyways, right? Mr. Telepathy Expert?" She teased him again.

"Of course, I do!" He played on. "But I want to hear it from you."

"Of course!" She rolled her eyes again.

"No, seriously, Prachi. Call it telepathy or magic or whatever you want to for that matter. But I do know exactly what you're thinking everytime." He asserted.

And she knew she couldn't deny that. On the contrary, his so called magic had seemed to become even stronger recently. He knew her thoughts, her emotions, her everything - he knew her - even more than she had known herself. He smiled at his victory confirmed by her silence.
