"She made it all seem like an accidental encounter." Renjun said seriously. "But of course it wasn't. She had been watching us for weeks before finding a convenient moment to talk to us."
"That's right." Chenle nodded in agreement. "And what she had to tell us was definitely worth it."
"Well, are you going to tell us already?!" Donghyuck asked impatiently, tossing a pillow at Chenle's direction in hopes of getting an answer sooner. However, Jeno sabotaged Donghyuck's attempt of hitting Chenle by catching the pillow mid-air.
"She told us that, while being on her last mission, she met two spies who were working for some people at the Technology district. I don't exactly remember their names, but–"
"Shotaro and Sungchan." Jaemin interrupted Jeno. "She said their names were Shotaro and Sungchan."
"Ah, yes. It still doesn't ring any bells, though." Jeno said, and I, among with probably everyone else in the room, could agree with one thing – those names really didn't ring any bells.
"So, what did those two guys have to say to Gyeoul?" Jungwoo wanted to know.
"Well, they had been spying on the scientists and all those people at the top for a while. I don't know who those people from the Technology district that they work for are, but I'm sure you will find out soon." Jeno continued explaining. "I just know that they are a bunch of hackers who tend to gather valuable information and then send them for a very high price. I honestly have no idea how Gyeoul managed to get those pieces of information out of those Shotaro and Sungchan guys, but kudos to her for doing that."
"And what exactly those pieces of information are?" I asked, already feeling how contagious Donghyuck's impatience was.
"It's written here." Renjun suddenly spoke, pulling out a piece of paper out of his pocket and handing it to Taeyong. All of a sudden, everyone gathered behind him to see what was written on it, and from what I could see, there was a bunch of letters and numbers randomly written to form a code of some kind.
"Is this... an adress?" Taeil asked, carefully examining the writing while peeking behind Taeyong's shoulder.
"I think it is." Renjun agreed. "But we even went as far as to go there and see for ourselves if anything was actually there."
"And? Was anything there?" Taeyong asked, but was met only with five shaking heads as a negative response.
"Well, of course!" Doyoung suddenly said, as if he came to a realisation of some kind.
"What are you thinking, Doyoung?" Jaehyun asked him, but from a certain spark in his eyes, I felt as if he had gotten it right as well.
"I'm thinking about The seventh sense, guys." Doyoung explained. "Of course there wasn't anything useful on that adress here, on the N-plane. However, we should remember that the remaining half of the pendant was thrown trough the portal that day Leiyu disappeared. That can only mean one thing..."
"...This must be the adress where the other half of the pendant is hidden, but on the V-plane!" Jaehyun finished Doyoung's thought, satisfied that they were most likely right.
"That makes a lot of sense!" Mark noticed. "But, what can we do with this information–"
"We need to tell them." I interrupted him, and suddenly all eyes were on me. "We need to send this message to Sicheng and the others."
Everyone kept quiet for a few seconds, but then Jeno spoke with confusion being evident in his voice.
"But... how are you even going to do that?" He wanted to know.
"I think..." I said, pensively taking a look at the sight of the city that could be seen trough the window, where the sun was only beginning to show on the horizon. "That's where the advice Sicheng had given me back then might come in handy."
A/N: After more than a month of not updating, I'm finally back with more chapters! I must say that NCT 2020 gave me a lot of inspiration for continuing this book, as you can see here, since I added new members Shotaro and Sungchan in the book as well. When it comes to Gyeoul, the new female character, I personally imagine her to look similar to Yeri from Red Velvet, but you are free to imagine her however you want. I hope you're as excited as I am because this story is about to get even more interesting! :)
