Yuta's P. O. V.

"Are you out of your mind?" Taeyong whisper-yelled, pointing at a camera placed in a similar way like the one we had at home. "Did you forget that they can probably hear us?"

"I'm sorry." Jeno said, his cheeks getting red. Honestly, I couldn't blame him. It wasn't like he didn't know that we were being watched, but he most likely just grew tired of having to hide like we were a bunch of mice living in a hole in someone else's home. Most of the time, they wanted us to feel exactly like that.

"No. I'm sorry." Taeyong sighed when he saw the expression on Jeno's face. "I didn't mean to sound so strict. I'm just stressed out, but all of us are. I have no right to do so."

"Anyways", Doyoung tried bringing the awkwardness to an end. "What kind of information are you talking about?"

"Why don't we go to the living room and then we'll tell you everything we know." Renjun offered. "Otherwise, we'll probably have to stand here for at least an hour."

All of us agreed to his suggestion, following the boys into their living room that looked almost the same as ours.

Some of us took a seat in the huge couch that was placed in one corner of the room, but some of us kept standing, including me. My anxiety is too big of a burden, I thought to myself. If I sit down now, I'm afraid I might never be able to get up again.

"So..." Jaemin started talking, and all of us immediately became quiet. "Do you guys remember Gyeoul?"

Gyeoul.

That name echoed trough my mind just like a cold wind would howl on a winter night. Her name does mean winter, after all.

"How can I forget?" Mark said with a smirk, which earned him an elbow-punch from Donghyuck, reminding him that we were in a serious situation.

However, Mark's reaction was understandable. After all, he used to have a crush on her for the longest time. She was one of the rare female students who participated in the experiments together with us, and she was probably the only female friend we had for the last couple of years.

Besides Leiyu, of course. Although it has already been so long since I last saw her, I'm not even sure if I really remember her face, or if it's just an illusion my brain made along the way.

"Well, we actually saw Gyeoul a couple of days ago." Jaemin continued. "It has been quite a long time since we worked together, considering the fact that they mostly send her on solo missions nowadays."

"Yeah, but you're missing out on a really important detail." Jisung corrected him quietly, but then raised his voice ever so slightly, so the others could hear him too. "We didn't just stumble upon her or something. She wanted to see us."

I exchanged a confused look with Taeyong. Why would she risk doing that? Most of the time, when we stumbled upon someone from different teams, it would be a pure accident, considering that we tended to avoid the others in order to protect each other. If the scientists would notice members from different teams spending time together, they would immediately suspect we're plotting something against them. Even coming here today was a great risk.

"She wanted to meet you?" Jaehyun repeated Jisung's last sentence, changing the intonation to an interrogatory one. "Why?"
