"Is it because of Bianca?" I asked quietly. It was a story I heard twice, once from Will and the other from Percy.

Annabeth nodded wordlessly. "Since then, it's been hard for him to open up to people. That's why I was surprised when he lent his sword to you in the arena and even risked himself to get inside the barrier you created just to save you before..."

"You knocked me out." I finished the sentence, smiling. It was funny how just a couple of days ago, we were still tying to rip each other's eyes out and right now the same two people who tried to murder each other is sharing a room while reading books.

"Yeah." She shook her head, a smile of amusement spreading on her lips. "When he stormed in looking like he was about to summon the entire army of the undead, I had a feeling that you might be someone more important to him than you know."

That took me by surprise. I felt dizzy all of a sudden, the phrase More Important To Him Than You Know rang in echos in my mind.

"I-I don't think so!" I stammered, "I think it might be because of the shared love we both have for McDonalds..."

What was I saying?

"Your face is red." Annabeth commented, humming slightly and totally ignoring my mcdonald's statement.

"I'm telling you it's not." I touched my cheek, surely enough it was hot to the touch.

"Sure, it's not. It's not like you look like a tomato right now as we speak."

"Shut up!" I buried my face on her pillow.

Annabeth hummed tapping a finger on her lip, as though contemplating against an important matter. "Do you like him?"

"Pardon me?" I stuttered, wide eyed. My heart was racing now, what was I being so nervous for? How could I like someone I just met for a few weeks? Surely Annabeth was just messing around. Ah, but...

"He is...really beautiful." I mumbled to myself thoughtlessly, thinking back to our moment in the infirmary. The memory of his dark eyes washed in sunlight as it held mine and the serene calm that comforted them.

"...So you do?" Annabeth asked once again, probably just out of spite. I resisted the urge to throw the pillow I was holding towards her face.

I groaned in frustration. I held my head in my hands. Do I like him? I mean sure, my heart beats when he's around but isn't this just infatuation? From the start, I was already strangely attracted to him, but...

"But what?" Annabeth pressed her cheek against her palm as she looked at my embarrassed state.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"But what?" She repeated her question, ignoring mine. Leaning forward, she brought her voice down into a whisper, the gleam in her eyes said that she was definitely enjoying this. "Or is it Will that you like?"

"OH MY GODS CAN YOU NOT?"

— meanwhile, on the other end of the door of the Athena Cabin —

Nico held the box Percy handed him in his hands tightly, he couldn't seem to move from his place. He only needed to drop off the box by the doorstep, but even he can't seem to do that now because if he did it would surely make a noise and the two individuals inside the cabin would hear. He was aware of how fast his heart was pulsating at the moment, and even he could tell that the heat he was feeling in his face was a blush that had spread from overhearing their conversations.

"Just what..." He sunk down to the ground, his knees felt weak from embarrassment and the back of his neck felt incredibly hot, covering his mouth. "...did I hear about me?"
