Chapter 2 - Such A Familiar Scent?

" That's for our Alpha to decide, Not us." He shrugged after saying this.

" Who's your Alpha?" I ask curiously. I'm actually really surprised he's actually answered any of my questions so far. He still doesn't seem very happy about it though,he's kinda just answering them is a 'I don't really care' kind of matter.

Before he could answer my question he was interupted by his buddy in the back. " We're here." He stated plainly.

I looked around me, We sure were there. There was dozens of houses, all really nice looking that gave off that homey feeling, the houses were in a large clearing that was surrounded by trees. So, This is where the pack wolves live? Cozy, Very.

But there was one house that really stood out from all the rest. There was a small dirt pathway that lead up to a huge house. It was gigantic, Like, 4-5 storys! Who the hell lives there?! He's, or she's, gotta be some kind of king, queen, or something. Like seriously, how could anyone even afford that house? I bet it has a pool, Huge one too.

I don't know how long I was standing there just gawking at the monstrocity,but apparently long enough for the guy behind me to get too impatient to wait any longer and decide to shove me rather hard in the back. It sent me stumbling forward right into the the guy who was in front's back.

He let out a surprised squeal which made me start giggling uncontrolably. I steadied myself, whilst laughing, using his back as support but not for long as he swiftly turned around and grabbed my wrists to restrain them above my head. My laughing had died down now and my face was painted with an expression of shock. What the fuck just happened right now?

" Don't ever touch me again or I will not hesitate to kill you you, Rogue." He spat out.

I nodded my head in understanding,but then added in a voice that was just about a mumble, " He pushed me though...And your reaction was so funny.." I seriously couldn't help myself when I heard that squeal, It was so funny!

He growled warningly then released my hands from his to lead his buddy and I up the pathway to the huge house. I couldn't help myself when I turned my head around to stick my tongue out at the boy behind me, he simply smirked which only pissed me off.

We reached the front door to the house in a matter of minutes, The guy in the front gestured for us to wait for him here while he went inside.

The other guy and I just kind of awkwardly stood there, Silently might I add.

Ummm, What could we talk about? I dont know, How's the weather maybe? I have never been in a silence this silent and It's making me really uncomfortable. Even if he's a pack wolf and I'm a rogue, I really don't want to be bored.

I opened my mouth when I finally found something to say, " What's your name?" I was getting bored for calling him 'the guy in the back' or 'the guy behind me'.

His facial expression showed a completely confused expression, but he quickly regained his composure and planted a sour look on his face. " Why should I tell you?"

" I want to know the name of one of the guys who is leading me to my demise, C'mon." My tone was slightly pleading, I don't like being bored and I am usually really talkitive. So not talking is practically torture to me.

He sighed in irritation but obliged to my request, " David. The name is David."

" My name is El." I said with a with a wide smile, feeling acomplished at the fact that he told me his name.

" So, David? What're you going to do with me?"

" If it were me I would have killed you on the spot," He spat out, which kinda through me off considering he was being so nice to me, Sorta. " But it's not. The Alpha has the choice on what to do with you."

In that moment, I silently thanked his Alpha,but hoped that he had a soft spot for little girls. Not in a pervy way though, Ew..

I was just about to ask who his Alpha was, again, when the guy who was leading us before walked out of the door. I was searching his face for a sign of what was going to happen to me,but it was completely void of any emotion.

I grew worried. Was I going to die? What's going to happen to me? I don't want to die yet, There's so many things I haven't done yet that I want to do. I haven't found my mate, I'm not going to get to say goodbye to my parents, and Im not even going to get to finish high school. Why is this happenening to me? Why did we have to move here? Why did I have to get caught on my first day?

" Josh? What did the Alpha say?" David said in a serious tone.

" He's too tired to deal with her now so he said to lock her up so that he can do whatever he wants to her tomorrow." The guy, who David called Josh, answered.

'So maybe I won't die today? I can try to escape somehow then.' I said to myself.

Yes, Tonight when the leave us in the cell we can escape, Hopefully. We can do this. Reign said in a suprisingly confident tone.

' Mhm.' I answered to her before David pushed me towards Josh, Who was already making his way back down the path. Assuming he wanted me to follow Josh, I did just that.

We walked into the pack 'village', Then to the edge of it and out, back into the forest.

Okay, Where is this so called cell? Is it like a prison or something, but why would it be all the way out here? Isn't it easier to be closer to the pack? I don't understand packs at all, Their ways are so strange to me.

After about 10 minutes of walking and me asking 'Are we there yet?' 500 times, getting no response though, we arrive at the 'cell'.

It wasn't actually a cell though, It was a small cabin with two wolves as guards at the entrance. When they saw us, More like Josh and David, They stepped away from the door allowing us entrace to the cabin.

Josh led us inside with David following behind, who also closed the door behind us. Josh signaled for us to stop following him, So we waited at the door as he walked to the center of the room to where a large rug was spread out. He leaned down and reached for the edge of the rug, Then he flung the rug to the side whilst standing up.

I slowly walked forward, with David right behind me. I peered down at what the rug used to cover: A trap door? What was this? Some kind of secret base, I thought as I looked around the empty cabin that now had the rug thrown to the side.

Suddenly, A wafting scent of blood filled my nostrils. It was so powerful that it sent me stumbling backwards into David who shoved me forward once I touched him.

The trap door was now open, which was the source of the horrific smell. I couldn't see anything, it was pitch black and it screamed danger. I have to run, I need t escape while I still can..

David sneered, " What? The rogue can't stand such a familiar scent such as blood." His tone was now evil and filled with hatred. What happened to him? I actually thought he was gentle and kind in some way. How is this scent affecting him so much? Is it even the scent that's affecting him right now?

Just then Josh turned around with a evil and demonic smirk on his face that almost made me shutter in fear,but I held myself back. I can't show a soft side anymore. I have to escape, They're monsters and I have to do everything I can to escape,but... I can't go back to what I used to be either...
